Jiang Chen released Gyarados from its Poké Ball. Out in the ocean, Gyarados let out a massive roar before diving into the sea, swimming freely for a good while before returning.
Staying by Jiang Yuan's side, Gyarados hadn't seen the sea in a long time. It was always kept in small pools where it couldn't swim to its heart's content. This time, it finally felt comfortable.

Dragonite nodded adorably. Of course it recognized Gyarados. Back before it evolved, when it was still a Dragonair, Gyarados had looked down on it. If its master, Jiang Chen, hadn't been there, it might have been bullied by Gyarados.
While Dragonite didn't really hold grudges, that didn't mean it liked Gyarados. Facing Gyarados in battle, Dragonite absolutely didn't want to lose.
"Go."

The two Pokémon first clashed with their presence, and Dragonite did not fall behind.
Then, the impatient Gyarados moved first, firing a Hyper Beam at Dragonite.
The more composed Dragonite moved the instant Gyarados attacked, using Extreme Speed to vanish in the blink of an eye, dodging the Hyper Beam. The gust of wind kicked up by its high-speed movement made it hard for Jiang Chen and the others who were standing quite far away to keep their eyes open.
"Gardé."
Gardevoir raised her hand, using Psychic to block all the wind.
"Thank you, Gardevoir," Ling Wanqiu thanked her.
Gardevoir tilted her head haughtily, indicating she hadn't intended to help those two. She only wanted to block the wind for Jiang Chen; Ling Wanqiu and Xiao Luoxue were just reaping the benefits by standing next to him.
"I can't see Dragonite's speed at all. Is this its true power?"
Ling Wanqiu and Xiao Luoxue couldn't track Dragonite's trajectory. Even Jiang Chen struggled to see it with the naked eye. However, by relying on Aura, he could detect Dragonite's movement.
Circling behind Gyarados, Dragonite slammed directly into its body.
Gyarados flew back over a thousand meters along the sea's surface before finally coming to a stop. It paid the price for its arrogance; it still hadn't taken Dragonite seriously enough.

It wasn't that Raichu was truly ugly, but everything suffered in comparison; compared to the adorable Pikachu, Raichu was certainly not as good-looking. With its rage reaching a peak, Gyarados ignored its stamina consumption and began firing Hyper Beams continuously, sweeping them across the area.
"Looks like we're going to win."
