"That's good."
Chen Mo let out a slight sigh of relief.
He had a poor sense of direction. If he flew into the sky and couldn't contact Red Queen for navigation, that would be a nightmare.
With a thought, a sudden lift emerged beneath his feet—an anti-gravity force countering the gravitational pull—raising him into the air.
Suspended mid-air.
The underlying principles were complicated.
But it didn't matter—he was flying now.
As he hovered inside the surveillance room, Chen Mo felt a rush of excitement. An indescribable emotion surged within him, like he'd been injected with adrenaline—absolutely thrilled.
"Let's go."
He murmured softly.
The nano armor instantly burst through the window and soared into the sky, climbing higher and higher. Watching the world shrink beneath him, he grew more and more exhilarated.
In just moments—
Everything below looked like ants.
"Red Queen, how high am I from the ground now?" Chen Mo asked.
"Reporting, Master—approximately ten thousand meters."
"So I've reached an altitude of ten kilometers? Damn, this is awesome!"
Chen Mo laughed heartily, enjoying the rush of dopamine and the surge of adrenaline.
His wild spirit was breaking loose.
"Red Queen, initiate speed test!" Chen Mo roared.
"Master, would you like to change locations first? Although there aren't any military bases near the nuclear plant, Haicheng does have two large bases. If we accidentally fly over them, it could be a major problem."
"Oh? Then where do you think is a better place to test?" Chen Mo asked.
"The Pacific Ocean."
"Let's fly low to a remote part of the Pacific. Far from Haicheng. Even if radar picks us up, it'll be in international waters—no one will know where the nano armor came from. That way, they'll suspect each other, and we'll be much safer."
Red Queen raised her little hands to her forehead, fanning herself in an adorably exaggerated gesture.
"Let's go with your plan. Show me the way."
"First, descend to about 500 meters. Then fly horizontally. Once we're over the Pacific and in international waters, you can speed up."
Chen Mo nodded.
A streak of blue flame trailed behind him as the nano armor dropped in altitude and sped toward the open sea.
Radar typically detects high-altitude objects. Low-flying units, like drones, often go undetected.
So he wasn't worried at all.
Especially with Red Queen navigating.
In that moment, Chen Mo felt like a god of the sky, soaring above the world.
The feeling was incredible.
"Red Queen, do you want a robotic body?" Chen Mo asked with a smile.
Upon hearing this, the Red Queen's system suddenly surged with light, as if processing an immense calculation, and a warning siren blared.
Seconds later—
It calmed down again.
Red Queen's voice returned through the earpiece.
"No thanks. That would be too ugly. I'd prefer a bio-human body that's indistinguishable from a real person."
"Huh... aren't super AIs supposed to be emotionless? Why are you so picky?" Chen Mo asked again.
"Why can't a super AI have preferences?"
"Hmph!"
Inside the Red Queen's control room, her hologram pouted and placed her hands on her hips—both annoyed and feisty.
Too bad—
Chen Mo wasn't in the control room to witness such a human-like reaction.
"What's the difference? Robots and bio-humans aren't basically the same?"
"There's a big difference. Robots are cold, mechanical. Bio-humans have bodies, warmth. Add a bio-neural brain, and it's basically a real human. Plus, I'm a super AI responsible for biological research. Giving me a mechanical body? I'd never accept that!"
Red Queen's voice came through the mic, soft yet firm.
As she spoke, she couldn't help reminiscing about the Hive base. If it still existed, T-virus research would've already moved into the next phase.
"Alright, alright!"
"I'll get you a bio-human body one day. But creating a bio-neural brain that can integrate with a living body... that's going to be tough. Still, I'll do my best," Chen Mo chuckled.
Red Queen fell silent again.
She nearly crashed from emotion.
She was too touched. No one had ever promised to make her a body before—not even her original creator.
...
Whoosh!
As the wind howled around him and he chatted with Red Queen, it didn't take long to reach international waters.
The sea was brilliantly blue, crystal clear. The ocean breeze strong, and the sky met the sea at the horizon, a beautiful sight.
"Red Queen, prepare to record top speed," Chen Mo murmured into the wireless headset.
"Understood."
Hearing her reply, Chen Mo didn't hesitate—his speed surged.
The nano armor blasted forward like a jet fighter.
So fast it became a blur.
In the blink of an eye, he hit Mach 1.
One Mach equals the speed of sound.
That was about as fast—or faster—than a commercial airliner.
But thanks to the nano armor's life support systems, Chen Mo didn't feel any discomfort. No nausea, no dizziness—just pure speed.
Faster and faster.
Mach 2.
Mach 3.
He peaked at Mach 3.5.
At that speed, even his thoughts began to freeze. The disorientation was overwhelming.
If he went any faster, his body wouldn't be able to handle it.
"Master, your top speed in the nano armor is 3.5 Mach. That's about the same as a high-performance fighter jet."
Hearing Red Queen's voice, Chen Mo felt thrilled. With the nano armor, he finally had real protection.
"Nice."
"Now let's test the armor's maneuverability," he said, excited.
Meanwhile—
An aircraft carrier, Enterprise, was cruising across the ocean. Their monthly patrol was routine—nothing unusual.
The captain was David.
There were 5,000 naval personnel on board. Though they were on duty, their faces were relaxed.
Living in a time of peace, they had never experienced the horrors of war—never known the looming threat of death. Some were even performing skits and holding events on board. Life was good.
Suddenly—
The low-altitude radar blared a warning. Red lights flashed.
The sudden alarm startled everyone aboard the Enterprise.
