Chapter 28 - Product Launch

"President, there's a student named Chen Mo asking to see you. He says he's here to apply for a part-time job."

He Xiaoxiao brought Chen Mo to Tian Tian's office. Seeing the stunning woman before her, she couldn't help but feel a bit envious deep down.

Being the president really is impressive.

Even as a woman herself, she was incredibly jealous.

And she also had such a large company under her command.

"Chen Mo?"

Tian Tian, who was reviewing documents, suddenly looked up in surprise when she heard that name, as if something had been triggered inside her.

Chen Mo smiled as he looked at Tian Tian. "That's right. I'm here. Can I apply for a part-time job?"

He Xiaoxiao was momentarily stunned by his words, quite surprised in her heart.

"You two know each other?"

"Of course. Chen Mo is our…" Tian Tian was about to introduce him when Chen Mo smiled and subtly waved his hand to stop her.

"We sort of know each other. I have something to discuss with the president."

"Then I'll excuse myself."

He Xiaoxiao nodded and sensibly stepped out.

She knew her place well. As a part-time receptionist, she wasn't qualified to stay in the president's office. Still, she wondered—what was Chen Mo to them? And why was it a secret? It didn't seem like he was here to apply for a job after all.

"Chen Mo, why did you stop me from telling He Xiaoxiao you're the real boss? And why did she think you came to apply for a part-time job?"

After He Xiaoxiao left, Tian Tian got up and poured Chen Mo a cup of tea at the coffee table.

Chen Mo didn't decline and casually sat down on the sofa, waiting to be served.

Although Tian Tian used to be his teacher, she was now his subordinate. Her pouring tea for him felt perfectly natural. It wasn't about disrespect—it was just a shift in roles.

"Oh, that? I'm her senior. When she saw me here, she assumed I was here for a part-time job. Just a funny little misunderstanding."

"Oh…"

Tian Tian responded softly, looking at Chen Mo strangely. Was this another of his odd little amusements?

As Tian Tian sat down beside him, a pleasant fragrance drifted over, and Chen Mo couldn't help but glance her way.

Tian Tian was dressed in a black business suit—a white shirt up top, and a black skirt below.

The classic CEO outfit.

The look suited her perfectly. Her aura shifted immediately. What was once just a bit of imposing energy now turned into full-on boss-lady charisma.

Especially those long legs, clad in black stockings, giving Chen Mo a real visual treat.

She wasn't his teacher anymore.

She was now his agent.

Heh…

If there's work, she'll handle it.

If not… she's eye candy.

"What are you staring at?" Tian Tian stiffened as she felt his burning gaze, her face quickly flushed red.

Damn it.

I'm your teacher!

Where are you looking?

"Your stockings," Chen Mo blurted instinctively. As soon as the words left his mouth, he regretted them. Too late to take it back.

"You look really good in black stockings," Chen Mo added, scratching his ear a little awkwardly.

"Chen Mo… You think they look good?" Tian Tian's smile was icy.

"Uh… Of course…"

Chen Mo smiled. He didn't feel threatened by her cold expression. Still, to preserve their friendship, he forced himself to explain.

"I was joking. Don't take it seriously. If I said I was looking at the floor instead of you, would you believe me?"

"Yeah, right. Why didn't I realize you were this pervy before?"

"Not really," Chen Mo shook his head.

"Hmph!"

"If you were still my student, I'd definitely call your parents!" Tian Tian huffed coldly, though her tone was more bark than bite.

"Too bad."

"I'm your boss now."

"Let's skip the banter. Give me a proper report. How's Black Domain Tech doing?" Chen Mo asked calmly.

"We've hired 150 people—all young and motivated. I'm confident you'll be pleased. We've set up the administrative department, HR, sales division, R&D, QA, operations, legal… Also, at 8 p.m. tonight, the Hatsune app officially goes live."

As she spoke, Tian Tian brought over a tablet, showing Chen Mo the company's current stats and the materials for the press conference.

Chen Mo took one look and couldn't help giving her a thumbs-up.

"Well done. You clearly have a knack for managing people. The R&D team under your leadership is very well organized."

"Stop buttering me up. What about that gift you promised me?" Tian Tian stretched out her hands in front of him.

"The gift? That comes once the product launches and the press conference begins."

"So mysterious? Fine, I'll wait."

Time passed quickly, and by 7:30 p.m., there was only half an hour left until the product launch.

That whole afternoon—

Chen Mo stayed in Tian Tian's office watching sci-fi movies.

While Tian Tian, dressed in black stockings, bustled around him, giving him quite the view.

The press conference was held directly at the Black Domain Tech headquarters. Since the company owned the whole building and had ample outdoor space, there was no need to rent a hotel.

As the event officially began—

Chen Mo took his seat at the very back of the tiered seating area, tucked away in a corner. His plain clothes made him look like just another nobody. No one would ever guess who he really was.

"Master, are you really not planning to take the stage at your company's product launch?" a voice suddenly spoke into Chen Mo's wireless earpiece—Red Queen's, cool and calm.

"Of course not."

"Tian Tian is the company president. It's her job to host the event. I just steer from behind the scenes."

Red Queen chuckled—soft and strange.

Even without her holographic avatar, it was easy to imagine she was up to no good.

"Master, are you grooming Tian Tian into a female CEO?" Red Queen asked.

"Any problem with that?" Chen Mo shot back.

"So you must enjoy this kind of training arc. I bet once you've turned her into a top-tier CEO, you'll push her against the wall and confess, huh?"

"…"

Female CEO growth simulator?

I swear you're not a super AI.

You're a super AIdiot.

Chen Mo couldn't be bothered arguing with her. He sent over a full muting command.

Silence at last.

Though there weren't many reporters in attendance, every major media outlet had sent one or two representatives. The room was filled with dozens of journalists and influencers, all holding cameras. Flashbulbs lit up the space continuously.

And with that, the press conference officially began.
