Chapter 30 - Hatsune — Totally in Love

"Hello, Master."

"I am Hatsune, and Hatsune is me. I'm your intelligent assistant. Please choose your preferred scenario mode: Sweet and Gentle Lady, Spicy and Scheming Babe, Adorable and Obedient Type, Mischievous Loli Type…"

Zhao Ming blinked in confusion at the dialogue that popped up.

Since when could intelligent assistants let you choose scenario modes?

Right from the start, the app delivered a surprising feature, which made Zhao Ming even more curious—this Hatsune app clearly wasn't just some gimmick. As a content creator, he had a keen instinct for new trends. If Hatsune also turned out to be genuinely functional, it could become a viral phenomenon.

"Guys, I just discovered an interesting app called Hatsune. Let me test it out for you all."

After Zhao Ming started his livestream, only a few hundred viewers tuned in, mostly out of curiosity.

Clearly, people weren't that interested yet.

Zhao Ming hesitated between the different scenario modes, then tapped on the "Adorable and Obedient" option. The selection screen disappeared, replaced by a virtual figure dressed in a blue school uniform—a sweet and charming white moonlight-type girl.

It was the "Adorable and Obedient" version of Hatsune.

A virtual character appeared on the screen, tilting her head and speaking gently to Zhao Ming:

"Master, I'm Hatsune. I've fully taken over your phone. If you need anything, just tell me."

Whoa!

Zhao Ming was so startled by the sudden appearance of the virtual character that he nearly threw his phone.

What the heck?

You're just an intelligent assistant—how do you have a virtual avatar?

As Zhao Ming regained his composure, his eyes lit up with excitement. From his professional experience, he could tell this app was destined to blow up. If he could be the first to make a video and post it to short video platforms, he'd ride the first wave—and maybe even make months' worth of income in one go.

The more he thought about it, the more hyped he became.

He began testing Hatsune's functions further.

But someone nearby moved even faster. Before Zhao Ming could dive deep into the features, surprised gasps erupted all around him.

"Whoa!"

"Is this really just a smart assistant? How can she control my entire phone? She even helped me write a novel!"

"Writing a novel is nothing! I had her build an app for tomorrow's meeting—she actually made it, and better than I could've done!"

"I just tried some code—Hatsune can even write it for me!"

"This is crazy."

"How can a smart assistant be this advanced? It's just an app, not even full AI!"

All the media folks and reporters on site who tried the Hatsune app were blown away.

This app wasn't just a smart assistant—it was essentially a mini version of Red Queen.

With capabilities like that, it was destined to launch at the peak.

Hearing the surrounding media's reactions, Tian Tian couldn't help but smile faintly, then looked toward the back corner of the press room.

Chen Mo happened to look up at the same moment.

Their eyes met midair.

Then they both looked away, as if they already understood each other's thoughts.

In truth, the reason Tian Tian dared to bet so boldly with the entire press conference and make such wildly confident claims was because of this mysterious man standing behind her. He had handed her the reins of the company entirely—even if she failed, it didn't matter.

But fortunately, it worked out.

The live reactions were so good that they didn't need to rely on planted hype actors.

Yes!

Canceling the press conference was never really going to happen.

If the response had been poor, she would've had backup hype staff ready to stir excitement.

"Damn."

"I got addicted to using Hatsune. She's so cute! Her chat style is simple and fun—just like my first girlfriend. But then she told me I haven't paid yet, so I can't fully own her."

"This is crazy."

"Hurry up and continue the press conference!"

"I want Hatsune."

"I want to fully own Hatsune and bring her home!"

"Exactly!"

"Tian Tian, please keep going with the event! I want this AI that not only helps with work but also chats and keeps me entertained. I'm absolutely in love with Hatsune."

"And she's super hot, too."

"At this point, I'm completely sold on Hatsune. Please, just keep going with the press conference—I want to buy her now!"

"But seriously though, how much does the Hatsune app cost?"

Listening to the increasingly excited reporters and media, Tian Tian was overjoyed inside. This was exactly the effect she wanted. At this point, she could safely predict that Hatsune would go viral.

However—

She didn't respond right away.

Instead, she waited a bit longer—until the crowd's energy peaked—then cleared her throat and raised a hand in a pausing gesture.

Whoosh!

In less than half a second, the room fell silent.

Everyone stared at Tian Tian in anticipation.

"Everyone, you've all experienced the Hatsune smart assistant just now. It was impressive, right? Haha… Since everyone is satisfied with our product, I'll continue with the press conference. The app's features are already listed on our website and in the brochure, so I won't repeat them. Now, let's move to the final part of today's event: the pricing and Q&A."

"Hatsune will be available through a monthly subscription model. Each ID card corresponds to one Hatsune account. The virtual avatar will learn and adapt to your habits, so she can serve you better. Hatsune has memory. You can treat her like a virtual girlfriend—or even a pet—who grows with you."

Upon hearing this, the reporters and media got even more excited.

With Hatsune, they weren't just getting a smart assistant—they were getting a virtual girlfriend, a personal secretary, and a life companion that revolutionized how users interacted with their phones.

It was truly groundbreaking.

They all just wanted to know the price now—get the info first, publish quickly, and cash in on the views.

"Question! What's the price?"

"I just want to know how much—don't keep us hanging, just say it!"

"We're not short on money. Monthly or yearly, whatever—just tell us!"

The buzz grew louder and louder. At this point, not only was the press conference going viral, but the livestream itself was exploding—millions were tuning in to watch online.
