Chapter 15 - Memory Magic Path

Carlotta recognized Soren's technique.

Hunting magic was Soren's primary focus, and every attack she launched had an automatic angle correction effect.

Fortunately, Carlotta was using a well-known Elven Knight Manual Path, which barely allowed her to dodge the first two arrows.

But next, it would be harder to avoid.

Carlotta had an almost instinctive feeling that no matter how she tried to dodge, she couldn't escape Soren's attacks.

Soren had already gauged her state from the previous two arrows, and the next three arrows fired simultaneously would likely not miss.

Carlotta immediately retreated rapidly.

Although the best way to deal with someone skilled in Hunting magic was to close the distance and fight, the closer the distance, the higher the opponent's accuracy, which would instead put her in greater danger.

However, even as she retreated, the sense of crisis that permeated her entire body still lingered!

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"

A hundred meters away, Soren finally released the bowstring, and three arrows shot through the twilight like three meteors, rapidly closing in on Carlotta.

In a short time, Carlotta's mind conjured up many ways to respond, but no matter how many methods she thought of, they all became useless as the three arrows arrived in an instant.

She couldn't dodge!

Instinctively, Carlotta protected her head, heart, and other vital areas, rolling on the ground in a desperate attempt to evade.

Then she heard the clanging sounds appearing around her and couldn't help but look up in surprise.

A massive shield with a faint blue glow at its edges had somehow appeared in front of her, blocking all the previous attacks.

If not for this shield, given her earlier response, she would likely have been injured.

What was this shield?

After getting up, Carlotta first looked towards Soren, who had now put down her bow and was glaring in another direction with a hostile expression.

Following Soren's gaze, Carlotta saw a silver-haired girl leisurely walking out from around a corner.

The girl had a stunning beauty that made her seem as if she shouldn't exist in this world. Her presence seemed to dim everything around her.

Carlotta had only seen one woman this beautiful in both her lifetimes, and that was Amelia Fenwick!

Soren's voice, tinged with a low tone, came through, "Amelia, must you always interfere?"

Amelia didn't respond, just walked towards Carlotta.

"Answer me!"

Soren raised her hand, drew her bow, and aimed at Amelia.

Amelia still didn't speak, walking step by step with a graceful and elegant motion, her blue eyes filled with calmness.

"Whoosh!"

Seeing this, Soren decisively released her hand, sending an arrow streaking towards Amelia with a dazzling trajectory.

At that moment, a shield enveloped in blue light appeared out of nowhere beside Amelia, directly blocking the arrow, producing a clear clashing sound in the night.

Carlotta finally recognized it, this was the Memory Magic Path!

Memory magic was a rare path, extremely difficult to master, but once learned, its effects were impressive. This magic allowed one to recreate anything that had appeared in their memory.

Swords, spears, staffs, shields, anything from memory could be recreated and would possess the same functions as the original.

Moreover, if this magic was mastered to a high enough level, one could even recreate people from memory.

If the person was still alive, there would be two of them in the world.

If the person had died, this would be a form of resurrection.

Carlotta knew that it was Amelia who had intervened, preventing Soren from harming her.

After one failed attempt, Soren didn't attack again, knowing she couldn't do anything against Amelia, though her expression remained grim.

Amelia's movements seemed unhurried, but she soon reached Carlotta's side.

Looking at the girl who had treated her to a peanut butter chimney roll, Amelia couldn't help but smile slightly, "Your Elven Knight Manual Path is quite well executed."

Carlotta, who had intended to express her gratitude, was momentarily at a loss for words, even feeling a bit embarrassed, as her Elven Knight Manual Path was learned from a book Amelia had lost.

"What happened?" Amelia asked again.

Unlike Soren, who went home every day, Amelia stayed at the academy, so when she noticed Soren hadn't left today, she felt something was off and kept an eye on her.

This was why Soren hadn't immediately dealt with Carlotta earlier; she had noticed Amelia watching her and couldn't act.

But through the feedback from her subordinates, Soren learned that Carlotta had escaped the encirclement, forcing her to come personally to deal with Carlotta.

However, Soren's arrival also brought Amelia along, leading to the current situation.

Carlotta didn't hide anything and explained everything that had happened.

Of course, she didn't mention the master-servant magic, only saying that Avery and the others seemed to be controlled and attacked her, and that she had been subjected to a magic attempt to enslave her but managed to break free.

After detailing the events in the dormitory, Carlotta said with a lingering fear, "If I hadn't already become a second-tier apprentice, I might have been controlled like Avery and the others, losing my freedom completely."

Her fear wasn't feigned; she was genuinely terrified by the near outcome.

After hearing Carlotta's account, Amelia was stunned.

She had previously had some guesses about Soren's strange behavior, but the reality was far from her expectations.

She never imagined Soren would be so bold as to practice an ancient forbidden magic and target other students in the academy.

From Carlotta's description, Amelia, with her vast knowledge, could deduce that it was an ancient magic called master-servant magic, which had long been banned.

Coming back to her senses, Amelia turned and looked at Soren, "You're really bold, Soren. Even as nobles, there are things we can't do."

Soren's expression was cold, and she didn't want to say another word, turning to leave.

She knew that with Amelia here, there was no way she could deal with Carlotta.

Moreover, things she didn't want Amelia to know had already been revealed, so her priority now was to figure out how to handle the situation.

Practicing forbidden magic wouldn't cause her, with her status, too much trouble, but there would still be some minor issues, and she wasn't one who liked trouble.
