Chapter 21 - Success

Fors District District, Caerwyn Academy.

Upon her return, Carlotta used the excuse of discomfort due to menstrual pain to request a day off, which was approved by Estelle.

Back in her dorm, Carlotta closed the door and windows, drawing the curtains to create a dim interior.

Unbothered, she took out a space stone to examine it and then picked up "The Complete Guide to Card Magic" to study the section on storage cards.

Storage cards vary in quality based on the space stone used, which determines the available space they provide.

Calculating with her own space stone, Carlotta found that the storage card made from it could hold a space of about thirty square meters, which was quite impressive.

For Carlotta, having a storage card was already good enough, and thirty square meters was a pleasant surprise.

She meticulously reviewed the method of making storage cards, ensuring she missed no detail.

In "The Complete Guide to Card Magic," the early stages of card magic were recorded, including the methods of making various cards, with detailed annotations for complex ones.

Although storage cards could be made by second-tier apprentices, they were undoubtedly high-difficulty cards, hence the extensive annotations covering every aspect.

Carlotta only had one space stone and couldn't afford a mistake, so she had to be thorough, remembering all the key points.

She spent half an hour in deep study of "The Complete Guide to Card Magic" before preparing to make the card.

In addition to the space stone, card-making requires other materials.

Since Carlotta specialized in card magic, her dorm was already equipped with the necessary tools and materials, so she didn't need to go elsewhere.

From her drawer, she took out blank cards, a magic pen, and a bottle of transparent mana liquid.

She then ground the space stone into powder and mixed the silvery powder with the mana liquid, turning it silver.

When the entire bottle of mana liquid turned silver, Carlotta used a magic pen that could store mana, dipped it into the silver liquid, and began to draw on the blank card.

...

Three hours later.

Carlotta put down the magic pen and looked at the card wrapped in silver light, her heart pounding.

After making a card, if mana lingers around it for over a dozen seconds, it usually indicates success.

As the silver light faded, Carlotta immediately picked up the card and examined it lovingly.

One side of the card was covered in intricate patterns, common to all cards. The other side, however, remains blank for storage cards, with no design.

Carlotta took "The Complete Guide to Card Magic" and infused mana into the storage card.

She immediately sensed a small space of about thirty square meters and, with a thought, the book entered the space.

Looking back at the front of the storage card, she saw a small book symbol in the corner.

"Success!"

Carlotta stood up, energized, and placed the Rose Thorns into the storage card.

She also included her other cards: Lightness, Heating, and Cooling.

Like a child with a new toy, she felt a fresh excitement and searched her dorm for other items to store, such as cups, powdered milk, and bread.

Additionally, she packed several sets of clothes into the storage card.

Carrying a portable space that could hold many items was something many people in her past life dreamed of, hence the prevalence of such space tools in various novels.

Carlotta never thought she would one day possess such a portable space, feeling deeply satisfied.

However, she had to keep this storage card hidden from sight, least anyone be shocked that a second-tier apprentice like her owned a storage card.

Thanks to the storage card's connection to space, it not only had storage capabilities but also the ability to be stored itself.

Carlotta placed it in her palm, and the card "melted" into her hand, disappearing.

Unless Carlotta openly used the storage card, no one would know she had it.

...

When Carlotta went to the dining hall for lunch, she found the academy abuzz with news that Soren had joined Victoria Academy, one of the four major academies.

"Has the news spread so quickly? Could it be the Carlisle family deliberately spreading it?"

Carlotta muttered to herself.

She ordered some peanut butter chimney rolls and looked for a seat, but her gaze fell on Amelia Fenwick sitting in a corner.

Despite being in a remote corner, Amelia was hard to ignore, with all the seats around her filled, unlike the usual sparse seating in such areas.

The table where Amelia sat was empty except for her, with others too shy to sit beside her.

Carlotta thought for a moment and walked over, placing her peanut butter chimney rolls on the table.

"Miss Fenwick, may I sit here?"

"Of course," Amelia looked up at Carlotta and smiled.

Amelia was the most beautiful girl Carlotta had seen in her two lifetimes; her smile alone could make one feel dizzy.

After silently admiring Amelia's charm, Carlotta sat down and brought up Soren.

"Soren Carlisle has entered Victoria Academy, and everyone is talking about it."

"I know," Amelia said.

Curious, Merrot asked, "Miss Fenwick, as nobles, isn't it possible for you all to enter the four major academies if you wish? Why did you and Soren choose Caerwyn Academy?"

Amelia smiled, "If you had asked before, it wouldn't have been convenient to say, as only the Fenwick and Carlisle families knew the reason. But now that the news has spread, it's no secret. Our choice of Caerwyn Academy is related to the dean, Miss Viviana Richards."
