"Sounds incredibly powerful. Isn't that Devil King level? A being of that caliber casually appearing in the human world—isn't anyone doing anything about it? Don't the three factions have an agreement? This is a clear violation, isn't it?"
Arthas said, and Xenovia, Rias, and Souna nodded.
"A violation, certainly, but we're helpless right now. Let's focus on surviving this crisis."
"The enemy is too strong. Irina was defeated before she could react; both holy swords were taken." Xenovia said bitterly, supporting the heavily injured Irina.
"Regardless, he survived the Great War, a Fallen Angel mentioned in the Bible. The fact that you two are still alive suggests he showed mercy." Arthas said gravely.
"Oh? Just an ordinary devil? That's enough. We've caught two big fish." Kokabiel said excitedly, looking down at Rias and Souna.
"I thought stealing Excalibur would lead to a war with Michael… but all I got were some minor exorcists and two Sword Empresses. So boring. Utterly boring!"
Kokabiel spread his black wings, releasing his power even more brazenly.
"Coming to Gremory territory was the right choice. Two Devil King's sisters. Killing you would surely spark a war!"
Kokabiel looked down at Rias and Souna with a cruel smile.
"You two should go. Have Asia treat Irina."
Xenovia nodded silently. Their current state was useless here; without Excalibur, she was powerless, and staying would only hinder them.
Kokabiel clearly wasn't interested in them either, allowing them to leave.
"Alright, alright, I can barely contain myself from killing you. The Devil King's sisters dead—that'll escalate things, won't it? War is about to begin!"
"War fanatic." Rias spat out in disgust.
Kokabiel laughed at her scorn.
"Correct. I'm a war fanatic! I was bored after the Great War! Azazel and Shemhazai are incredibly negative about the next war. On top of that, they've started collecting pointless divine artifacts and conducting incomprehensible research. That garbage is never going to be our decisive weapon!" Kokabiel grumbled.
"Regardless, I'll have a holy sword battle in your territory, Rias Gremory. To start a war! The school of the Satan King's sister and Leviathan's sister—it must be brimming with magical energy, perfect for indulging in chaos! Ideal for unleashing the King's Swords' true power! It'll be the perfect battlefield."
"How do you plan to use the King's Swords?"
Rias asked. Kokabiel flapped his five pairs of wings, turning towards the academy.
"Hahaha! Try to stop me. Otherwise, Kuoh Academy might cease to exist."
"Damn it, Arthas, Souna, let's go! We can't let him destroy our territory!"
Feeling insulted, Rias glared, furious. Souna nodded. As the next heads of powerful families and Devil King's sisters, they were both proud and strong-willed.
Kokabiel's strength was daunting, but they wouldn't tolerate his humiliation. As Devil King's sisters, Rias and Souna would fight back.
"Master, President Rias, the academy is under a large-scale barrier. As long as nothing too extreme happens, the outside won't be affected."
Souna's queen reported.
Only the Occult Research Club and Student Council members remained to defend Kuoh Academy, gathering in a nearby park, awaiting orders.
After discovering Kokabiel, Souna had summoned the Student Council to erect a large-scale barrier around the academy.
This was to prevent the inside situation from leaking out.
After all, their opponent was a Fallen Angel executive mentioned in the Bible and related texts; anything could happen.
"This only minimizes the damage. Honestly, if Kokabiel gets serious, not just the academy, but the entire city could be destroyed. He seems to be preparing. My familiars saw him in the schoolyard, gradually releasing his power."
Souna said worriedly. He was at the Devil King level; such power wasn't surprising.
Hearing this, Arthas frowned. This was his first direct encounter with a Devil King-level opponent, and he felt a thrill.
How strong was he now? How strong was a Devil King-level opponent? He wanted to find out.
He'd been in this world for a while, but hadn't encountered many noteworthy strong opponents.
The Fallen Angel who'd tried to kill him was weak, the Phoenix family's third son, a top contender in the Underworld ranking game, was also weak, and even Xenovia and Irina, who considered themselves invincible among the younger generation, were equally weak.
This series of encounters left Arthas confused and wondering about his own strength.
Was he being too cautious? Or had he simply not encountered true powerhouses?
Not necessarily. The Devil King, Sirzechs, and Souna's sister, Leviathan, were among the world's strongest. Perhaps because they weren't hostile, Arthas didn't feel intense pressure from them.
The kind of pressure that made him struggle to breathe, like facing Nasa Nasa and the White Night.
But… he didn't feel that from Kokabiel. Was it because Kokabiel hadn't attacked yet… or something else?
Arthas needed an answer. Perhaps… Kokabiel could provide it?
