Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 Bloodshed! Assailant of the Night

Feld spat out the half-chewed chunk of apple and laughed out loud.

It was outrageous that someone would dare to take on an ugly female monster.

Much like the modern orientation, as long as it was female, someone would like it.

Wiping away the tears squeezed out of the corners of his eyes from his maniacal laughter, Feld became curious.

Does corruption create reproductive isolation from people?

"Poor Steel Fork, he ended up dying of lower body ulcers, and his big tits, which turned into a nasty lump, went away in great pain. Corruption is supposed to be the devil's curse, and Steel Fork probably won't make it to heaven. I don't think there is any creature, except God's chosen ones, that can resist the curse."

Feld closed the book, the feeling words throughout made Feld not want to read for a while.

"Lucas can only be considered an adventurer or explorer, and as a scholar he lacks rigor. Not all creatures can't resist decay, at least plants can."

Feld remembered the green plants collected in Rum Village, they were not pieces of flesh or tentacles.

"Ah!"

There was a scream from the window, and Feld's hand shifted, nearly knocking over the teacup he had raised to his mouth, of which the steaming tea splashed down, scalding himself, not to mention the fact that wet clothes were very difficult to dry in the Night Collar.

Feld glanced at the mini-map, and there was no skull and crossbones symbol.

"Looks like it's just another one of those underprivileged fools who can't control their lower body." Feld rubbed his temples, slaves all mixed together, there would always be times when violence and forced incidents would occur, even whips would hardly change the nature.

Slaves didn't have the right to mate, though the vast majority of slaves couldn't even feed themselves and didn't have the heart to pass on the family name.

"My lord!"

Hearing a trot outside the corridor, the manservant Wakan knocked on the door of the room sharply.

"Come in, what is it?" Feld came to the window and glanced out, it was still dark outside, torches were up downstairs, but Feld could only see some panicked faces that appeared next to the torches.

It looked like things were about to get worse.

Wakan prostrated himself on the ground and said shakily, "My lord, our territory has stumbled upon big trouble!"

Fielder had a moment of heartburn, but remained calm, "Don't be hasty, tell us what kind of trouble."

"Bandits! It's armed bandits that attacked our territory!" Wakan was still young after all, he was too terrified to help himself, his hands propped up on the ground shaking like Parkinson's, "A few slaves went to defecate in the farmland, and were suddenly attacked by bandits who rushed out of the gray mist, they killed two people with their spears, and captured a female slave!"

Felder hurriedly stepped forward and inquired in surprise, "Instead of continuing the attack, they chose to retreat?"

"Yes, they left immediately."

"What grass!" Felder cursed angrily.

Those who would retreat would inevitably possess a certain amount of wisdom. He was in this shitty, toxin-filled shithole and still managed to run into bandits, was there anything more outrageous than that?

Perhaps his "lovely" stepmother and siblings.

It was possible, but it would be dangerous if they got information about the Chosen.

Feld looked at the mini-map again, and there was nothing unusual.

It reminded Feld of Connor's cavalry, who were approaching to a certain distance before displaying the exclamation mark.

It seemed that the mini-map warnings were limited in range, only for the Chosen and the corrupted creatures that could be broadcast from a greater distance.

"You inform the others to take cover on the first floor of the Grand Chateau, I'm going after them." Felder took his longsword from the rack and walked quickly downstairs.

Ashina was already downstairs examining the corpses, and when she saw Fielder coming downstairs, she immediately apologized condescendingly, "I've disturbed your rest, and it's my dereliction of duty for letting the enemy enter the territory."

"Not your dereliction of duty, the territory didn't even build a wall, it's not impossible for an enemy to infiltrate."

Ashina had fought a bloody battle for a day, it was normal that she didn't notice the enemy because of fatigue.

Feld half squatted down, reached out and ripped the tattered and sour-smelling linen clothes from the corpse, and immediately cocked his head in confusion, "The wound on the abdomen, the angle of irritation is actually upwards, are those bandits dwarves."

"Strange indeed." Ashena rubbed her smooth chin, shaking her leg rhythmically, the flesh of her white thighs quivered slightly, a slight little movement that would allow her to stay focused, "Probably not human, maybe a nasty dwarf."

Feld's feelings of worry subsided a bit, things probably weren't too bad, at least not to the point of death.

"Ashena, can your wolf smell the enemy?"

Using a dragon breed giant wolf as a dog sounded strangely outrageous.

Ashina tapped her head, "Why didn't I think of that."

"Bring me along, I need to see what kind of dog dares to attack my territory." Fielder gritted his teeth, he wasn't as benign as the original owner, "I'm going to chop off their dog's head."

Ashina was already familiar with Feld's nature and smiled, "Of course! I will be your sword!"

The giant wolf sniffed the corpses a few times, and then its ghostly blue vertical eyes were aimed at the northeast direction of the Nightfall Domain.

"The enemy fled that way."

Luckily, it didn't run south, the enemy might really not be human.

"Ding dong ding dong~"

A dozen or so slave guards ran out in disheveled clothes, many of them still in their armor, with a sleepy look on their faces. Feld pulled at the corner of his mouth, wanting to scold but stopping. Don't expect the soldiers of this era to be like the Chinese army, where orders are enforced. There was no doubt that the guards slept very soundly, so much so that most of them were still in dreamland when Fielder was all set to depart.

"You guys guard the territory, don't let the enemy kill back."

Fielder didn't intend to bring them along, the pursuit was speed-based, and by the time the troops were assembled, the enemy would probably have run out of sight long ago.

"However, disciplinary training has to be put on the agenda."

A lazy army was incapable of fighting, and couldn't even look after the basic territory.

Ashena pulled Feld onto the giant wolf, and with Feld's little map in place, it could greatly reduce the possibility of being ambushed.

More stable than a horse's back, Feld's first feeling after straddling the Giant Wolf was that it was comfortable.

Riding a horse is not difficult, the horse's back is wide, as long as you get used to it after stabilizing your stance, you will marvel at how easy it is to ride a horse than a bicycle. After all, bicycles had no intelligence, and many equestrians could even sleep while riding. Ashina's dragon breed wolf was much more stable, the jagged scales on her back didn't stick to people, they would automatically shrink and close, tightly fitting like a modern craft.

"Depart!"

Driving the giant wolf, the two of them quickly rushed into the gray fog.

It only felt like the surrounding vision was blurring rapidly, the strong wind was whistling beside their ears, and the speed of the wolf rider was so fast that it was practically a subway!

In just four minutes, Ashina found the enemy in the dense corrupted woods.
