"One more move, and he is dead," the thief threatened and everyone went silent for a few seconds before they bursted out, laughing.
"Are you kidding me? Do you know who you are holding hostage right now?" Kelly asked, laughing hysterically. "You made a mistake dude. Do you think we would care even though you kill him? Go ahead and kill him. We have been waiting for the moment he would die with his stench."
I narrowed my brows and bit on my lower lips. They hate me so much to wish for my death. I thought they would have even the slightest sympathy and tell him not to kill me, just the slightest sympathy, but they had none.
As usual, I was still the trashcan even though I had reached the level of a Delta. I am still no one in their eyes. No matter what.
I lowered my head cursing my lowly life that has no meaning.
"Do you guys think I am joking?" Notorious jaw asked again and asserted more pressure to the iced dagger, and the sharp edge gave me a cut. My blood flowed out and trickled down the dagger, down to his hand. He didn't move, instead, he left it in it position, hurting me more. "I will really kill him."
"Notorious jaw, you are coming with one of us," Ben said and stepped forward.
Notorious jaw growled and cut deep into my skin again. I groaned as the pain sharpened. "Please, don't," I pleaded but it went into deaf ears. None of them was willing to listen to me.
"Don't move kids, and stay back," Notorious jaw warned.
"You still think we are here for a joke?" Kelly asked, getting pissed off.
"Notorious jaw, we were instructed to bring you alive no matter what and my mission is to kill whoever stands in the way," Ben said and averted his gaze to me. "Apparently, Reggie stands in my way and would only be a set back to gaining our victory. You don't have to kill him yourself, I will do you the honor."
He smirked and pointed his arrow towards us which got engulfed with blazing fire. "ARROW OF THE SOUTHERN WARRIORS: blaze with terror and consume the ones who threaten your strength!" He chanted and let go of the arrow, which was targeted towards me.
"No!!" I screamed and shut my eyes, knowing what was coming for me. Was I about to face death again?
"REALM OF DOMINANCE, EXTEND!" A voice screamed in my head or rather, it was my voice. I couldn't tell if I screamed that.
Suddenly, the world took a different change, like an alternate dimension of earth where everything was upside down. Except the throne I was seating on.
I was seated on a throne. A magnificent throne which must have been created by a master steel wielder. The ground under my feet was crystal clear that I could see my reflection clearly.
I looked at myself and noticed I had a black robe on and beneath was black suit which fitted me perfectly. It was made for me.
Am I…Am I dead again? I wondered and looked up. Notorious jaw was kneeling before me at some distance away. He had his head to the ground. I drew my brows together, wondering what was going on.
"This is your domain," Maki said and appeared beside me. Actually, just half of his body appeared from the chair, with his hand firmly holding the throne armrest. "You have total control of this world. You can give your judgement, as well as give and take as you want."
I looked around and looked up to see ghouls waiting, with their feet stuck on buildings which were inside down. They were like bats waiting for the command to move.
I averted my gaze back to notorious jaw and noticed he was shivering in fright but he couldn't talk neither could he move. He was stuck in my world but his consciousness still lives.
"How do I give and take?" I asked, not taking my gaze away from him.
"Give him any amount of energy you want him to enjoy for a few minutes and at the end, you take back whatever you want from him as repayment. His soul has to pay back for that immerse power you will give to him," he explained.
I nodded and stood up. "Alright then, it is judgement time."
I imagined standing close to him and I appeared in front of him. Seeing how I could control the world, my stomach trickled in excitement.
I knelt down before him and wrapped my fingers around his jaw, making him face me. "It's such a pity you have to go through all these for trying to earn your daily meals," I muttered and drew closer. "The military are after you. Unfortunately, they want to use you to eliminate the students and it is all to favor the supreme leaders. At the end, they would kill you like you are nobody."
I clicked my tongue and shook my head. "They are heartless. All humans are heartless. All they think about is themselves. All of these is to their benefits and it is so unfair."
I stared at him for a few seconds before I went on, "Unfortunately, you are at the level of a Beta. So weak and not able to stand up against anyone. You can go ahead and talk to me."
I felt the atmosphere shift and I immediately sensed Maki was taken aback by what I did. Probably this wasn't the way, but according to him, this is my world and I can change anything. I don't care about the rules. I will follow no damn rules in my world.
"Pl…please let go," Notorious jaw pleaded.
"I will let you go," I answered and stood up. "But just think about it. You will still be caught no matter what. We are not the only group after you. There are so many others. The supremes leaders are just wicked and also, how dare they look down on you to send kids to arrest you?"
He drew his brows together and lowered his head.
Seeing I was getting him how I wanted, I went on, "That is an insult to a man who has a reputation like yours. But you know what? I can help you bring them down and make them pay." I squatted again and leaned closer. "I will give you an immerse power that would make you unstoppable. You will get your revenge."
He lifted his head, staring at me as if I was crazy. After a minute of silence, he asked, "Who the hell are you?"
My lips curled up at the answer. I suddenly felt so much power hearing that question. Was this how it felt? To be so powerful that people become curious of you?
"I am the omnipotent ruler," I answered and watched him shuddered.
"Are you sure you will make me powerful?" He asked, not taking his eyes off me. "Why would you help me?"
"I hate seeing people suffer. I hate when those supremes treat people like they don't matter. You deserve to rule. You deserve to feel powerful too. I will grant you the power you need."
The corners of his lips curled up, "I am ready to receive this immerse power you talk about."
"Perfect. But you have one job for me," I leaned closer and whispered into his ears. "Bring Ben's soul to me. His energy is mine to feed on."
