"Alright, it looks like he cleared everything up," said Nami, seeing what Luffy had done.
"Yeah… but he's stuck under the ship's figurehead!" said Usopp, worried.
"Don't worry, he won't die," Zoro replied.
"It's pretty impressive. No wonder he's the captain," said Oliver.
Just then, voices were heard coming from the ship, shocked by its condition.
"Huh… those voices," said a pirate.
"They're the ship's lookouts, the Nyaban Brothers," said another.
"Ah, right! They're still left!!" said Jango, remembering he still had that option. "COME DOWN!! NYABAN BROTHERS!!!"
Right after he said that, two voices came from the ship before two people jumped down. Their appearances were different—one was slimmer and the other more muscular—but both wore cat-themed outfits.
"Who are those guys?" asked Nami, confused by the pair.
"Two people with a terrible sense of fashion," said Oliver, touching his stomach from the injury.
"Here they are, the Nyaban Brothers," said Jango upon seeing them. "Buchi, Sham, we need to get past this slope no matter what, so take care of them!"
"Oh no, sir. We can't do that, right Buchi?" replied Sham.
"Y-yes, those guys look really strong!!" said Buchi, supporting Sham.
Both brothers spoke nervously, scared of the group of protagonists.
"Just look at us! We're just old lookouts," said Sham.
"Yeah, we can't fight in a situation like this," said Buchi.
"SHAM! GO RIGHT NOW!!" ordered Jango, furious at their ridiculous act.
"What?! Me?!" yelled Sham, unable to believe it.
"Hurry!!" Jango ordered.
"Y-yes, sir! I'm going!" cried Sham, heading forward with tears in his eyes.
"Look at him, he's practically crying! Why send him to fight?" wondered Nami, confused.
"Hey, you! Start praying! I'll tear you to pieces with these cla-claws!" Sham said, trembling as he went toward Zoro.
"What am I supposed to answer to that? Hey! Stop or I'll cut you!" Zoro said, without real intention of doing so.
"Zoro! Don't believe him! He's lying!" shouted Oliver.
Hearing that, Sham tried to attack, but Zoro blocked him with one katana.
"So you were lying," said Zoro.
"What can I say, that's just how I fight…" said Sham before quickly backing away. "But it doesn't matter that your friend warned you!"
"Wait, does that mean… he's not actually that weak?" said Usopp, realizing the truth.
"Zoro!! Your swords!!" shouted Nami, seeing that his two katanas were no longer in his hands.
Zoro realized his swords were gone, and Sham now had them on his back, meaning he had stolen them during the clash.
"So you know how to fight too, but you won't beat a Nyaban Brother of the Black Cat Pirates so easily," said Sham smugly.
"Give me back my katanas!!" yelled Zoro, angry.
"Give them back? Seems to me you still have one. Ah, right—before fighting, I should throw these away."
He threw them down the slope so Zoro couldn't recover them.
Zoro, furious, rushed to cut him—and succeeded, slicing Sham in half easily, then ran to retrieve his swords.
"Damn it! I can't believe you did that to my katanas!" said Zoro, about to get them.
"Sorry. Did you think you were done?" said Sham, who suddenly grabbed Zoro's arms, preventing him from moving.
They then noticed Sham's stomach was pulled inward, meaning Zoro's strike hadn't actually hit him.
"Go, Buchi!! It's your turn!" yelled Sham.
Zoro tried to move, but couldn't due to the strange position.
Buchi leaped into the air to attack Zoro from above, but before he could, Oliver grabbed him by the cape.
"Huh?" Buchi was confused that he couldn't strike.
Oliver quickly threw him toward Sham, making them crash into the slope.
"Hey, how about a two-on-two fight?" said Oliver, joining Zoro.
"I could've handled it alone," said Zoro.
"Sure you could—against one, yes. But it would've been rough against a combined attack," said Oliver, preparing to fight.
"Buchi! Are you alright?!" Sham asked.
"Y-yes!" Buchi replied, getting up.
"So, which one do you want?" asked Oliver.
"I'll take the one who stole my katanas," said Zoro, going after Sham.
"Then I guess I'm facing you, fatty," said Oliver to Buchi.
Buchi charged at Oliver, who blocked with his left arm.
"Come on! Hit harder!" said Oliver.
Buchi moved behind him to attack with his claws, but Oliver used his left arm to strike him in the jaw with his elbow.
"Spartan Puncture!"
Taking advantage, he hit him repeatedly in the body and face, not letting him counter.
While Oliver handled Buchi, Zoro fought Sham, who despite Zoro only having one sword, managed to keep the fight even.
"N-no! He doesn't understand! S-some unexpected circumstances came up!" said Jango, panicking.
Buchi and Sham were equally scared, stopping the fight. Looking behind them, they froze when they saw Kuro, who had just arrived—and the expression on his face showed he was furious.
"Here we are. The sun's already up, yet the plan isn't happening. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Kuro roared, terrifying all the pirates.
"How is it possible that these brats stopped you? Since when are the Black Cat Pirates so weak?!" he shouted in rage. "Say something, Jango!!"
"You were the one who said that kid wouldn't be a problem, right?" said Jango, sweating.
"Yes, I did. And so what? He shouldn't be a problem for us. You should know that already. The truth is you're all just too weak. I don't want to hear another excuse," he said, despising them.
"We're weak?" said Sham, offended.
"Watch your mouth, Captain Kuro," said Buchi.
"It's true you were very strong," said Sham angrily.
"Where are you going with this?" asked Kuro.
"That was three years ago. While you lived peacefully, we trained for years," said Sham.
"Exactly—we've invaded many towns and sunk many pirate ships," said Buchi.
"Just because your plan isn't going perfectly, don't think we'll let you kill us so easily!" yelled Sham.
"You've been inactive for three years, do you really think you can beat the Nyaban Brothers?!" shouted Buchi.
Both brothers, furious, rushed Kuro—but when they struck, he was no longer there.
"What were you saying? That you were going to kill me?" said Kuro, now behind them, wearing clawed gloves.
"When did he get behind them?!" asked Usopp, shocked.
"He used Stealth Walk!" shouted the pirates.
They turned around—he wasn't there anymore.
Suddenly, Kuro was right between them, freezing the brothers in fear.
"Let's do this. I'll give you five minutes to defeat them. If you fail, I'll kill you myself."
The pirates panicked, screaming that they didn't want to die.
"If we beat those guys, we can get through here!" they yelled.
Seeing the chaos, and remembering his fight with the Black Cat Pirates, Oliver lunged at Jango.
"You first!"
He punched him in the ribs, sending him crashing into part of the cliff, then struck his chest with another punch infused with Electro, burying him completely.
"One down," said Oliver.
He went to grab Zoro's katanas and handed them to him.
"Now those two are left," said Oliver.
The Nyaban Brothers and the rest of the pirates were shocked at what happened to Jango, but they couldn't stop now.
"It doesn't matter if you have three swords!!" yelled Sham.
"Now you'll see my three-sword style is very different from using just one," said Zoro, ready.
"I'll defeat you even with your strength!!" shouted Buchi.
"We'll see about that," said Oliver.
Zoro placed one sword horizontally in his mouth, the other two behind his shoulders, preparing his attack.
"Tora Gari! / Tiger Hunt!"
He dashed forward and down, slicing Sham and defeating him instantly.
Oliver charged his fist with Electro, dodged Buchi's attack, then brought his fist down at high speed, hitting him in the face and slamming him into the ground.
The pirates were stunned—not only had Jango been defeated, but the Nyaban Brothers too.
"Maybe we won't need Luffy to beat this guy," said Oliver.
"I guess that's true," said Zoro. "You want to fight him, or should I?"
"You're very arrogant to think you can defeat me," said Kuro, adjusting his glasses.
