Upon entering, they saw there was a bit of a mess, as some tables were destroyed and there was blood, but the cooks were working to clean it up.
A waiter approached them.
"Welcome to the Baratie. Are you customers?" He asked them.
"That's right. We'd like a table," Nami told him.
"Follow me."
They followed the waiter to sit at a table.
"Excuse me, do you know where a young man who came here is? He has black hair, red clothes, a straw hat," Nami asked.
"The new kitchen assistant," said the waiter. "From what I heard, he has to work to pay for the damage for an entire year."
"Luffy has to stay here for a year?" Nami asked him.
"That's right. So, what will you order?" The waiter asked as he got ready to take their order.
They ordered a few dishes so the waiter could leave.
"So, is Luffy going to stay?" Usopp asked.
"It seems so," Nami said.
They all looked at each other before bursting into laughter.
"We're going to have to choose a new Captain, it seems," Zoro said, unable to hold back his laughter.
"Oliver as First Mate will have to do, right?" Nami said.
"But I asked for the Captain's position first," Usopp said.
"You're all so mean to Luffy," Oliver laughed.
After a few minutes, the waiter arrived with all the food, so they began to eat.
While they were eating, Luffy came out of the kitchen after being scolded and sent to wait tables.
When he saw their table, he quickly approached, annoyed.
"You guys!" Luffy shouted when he saw them eating.
"What's wrong, Cabin Boy?" Nami greeted him.
"I heard you have to work here for a year," Usopp laughed at Luffy's situation.
"So, can I change our pirate flag?" Zoro asked him.
"Don't you think this is really low?! You're all sitting comfortably enjoying food while I'm suffering!!" He screamed angrily.
"Low? We have the right to eat," Zoro said while looking away.
Annoyed, Luffy picked his nose and put the booger in Zoro's glass, making Usopp, Nami, and Oliver hold back their laughter.
"This restaurant is really good," Zoro said as he brought the glass closer to drink, which caused the others to barely hold in their laughter, but he grabbed it and threw the drink into Luffy's mouth. "How about you drink it yourself!"
"What are you doing?!" Luffy shouted, grabbing his throat as the others burst into loud laughter.
The other customers looked at them strangely, as they expected a peaceful meal, yet the opposite was happening due to all the noise.
A cook noticed the table and then came running, passing right by Luffy.
"Oh! Thank God I met you today! Oh, my love! Just smile at me," Sanji said while standing beside Nami, who didn't understand what was happening.
'Sanji. That behavior is awful. How bad would things be if he hadn't joined the crew?' Oliver thought with a disgusted expression while imagining a scenario where Sanji wasn't around.
"If you're with me, I could become a pirate or a devil. Oh, but our poor fate is doomed!" Sanji said, surrounded by hearts.
"Is it because of me?" Zeff asked, standing behind him.
"Old man?!" Sanji asked, a bit startled.
"This is a good opportunity. Get out and become a pirate. We don't need you here," Zeff told him.
"Oi, crazy old man! I'm the second cook of this restaurant. You just said this restaurant doesn't need me anymore, what do you mean by that?" Sanji asked him.
"You always fight with customers, you flirt with every pretty woman, your cooking isn't very good. If you stay, you'll run this place into the ground. Besides, no one likes you here, I'm sure you already know that. It's better if you leave and become a pirate or whatever. The sooner you leave this restaurant, the better," Zeff finished.
"What are you saying? You know none of that makes me angry, crazy old man," Sanji said, grabbing him by the collar. "For some reason, you always look down on my cooking. Anyway, I won't leave even if you tell me to."
"How dare you grab me by the collar?!" Zeff yelled, grabbing Sanji and throwing him against the table. "You little brat!"
The crew managed to move their plates before they were destroyed, as the head chef had thrown Sanji onto their table.
"Listen. I don't care how many times you tell me to leave, I'll always be a cook here. Do you have a problem with that?! I'LL BE HERE UNTIL YOU DIE!!" Sanji shouted angrily.
"I won't die for 100 years," Zeff said as he walked away.
"Great! You got permission from the owner. Now you can be a pirate," Luffy said happily.
"Who wants that?!" Sanji shouted at him.
"What a disaster of a place," Oliver said as he finished his food.
Sanji had to replace the table and brought some liquor along with a dessert for Nami.
"Sorry for the mess. As an apology, I've ordered a fruit salad and a fine vintage wine for you," Sanji said, handing them to Nami.
"Thank you!! You're very kind," Nami thanked him.
"It's nothing, Miss," Sanji said in a very formal manner.
"Hey! And what about us? That's unfair, gallant cook!" Usopp shouted.
"I ordered a hot tea for you. Still upset, long-nose?" Sanji insulted him.
"What? You want a fight? Beat him, Zoro," Usopp said, expecting the swordsman to fight for him.
"Why don't you do it yourself?" Zoro asked him.
"Leave him, that's the only thing he's good at," Oliver said while staring at Sanji.
Nami began to eat what she was served, while Luffy tried to eat as well.
Meanwhile, Usopp continued arguing with Sanji about the food, since the latter didn't even bother to serve the men's meals.
"Can you stop fighting because of me?" Nami asked them so they would stop.
"Yes, Miss," Sanji said.
"Who would do that?!" Usopp shouted with shark teeth.
"By the way, Chef-san," Nami grabbed the cook by the face and pulled him closer.
"Y-Yes, Miss?" he asked nervously.
"The food here is a bit expensive for me," Nami said, manipulating him.
"Don't worry. It's on the house!" the cook shouted, completely fooled.
"I'm so happy! Thank you so much," Nami said, hugging him.
"But you all have to pay," the cook said, returning to normal.
"You're such a manipulator," Zoro told Nami.
"You'd better be careful with me!" Nami replied triumphantly.
"That ability might help obtain information, as long as the person is a pervert like that cook," Oliver said.
Then they saw Sanji walk toward the door to greet new customers, acting just as crazy around women as before.
Sanji then grabbed Luffy to bring him back to work.

Two days passed, with the Straw Hat crew staying at the Baratie since their Captain had to work there to pay the debt.
Right at that moment, a pirate ship arrived, and when the customers saw the flag, they became terrified.
"That's Don Krieg's pirate ship!" one customer shouted.
"Hourglasses with a skull — that's his symbol," another said.
"It has to be Don Krieg!!"
"What the hell is he doing here?"
The customers started panicking, and the cook who had punched a member of Don Krieg's crew was extremely scared.
The Straw Hats watched Don Krieg's ship, which frightened nearly everyone except Zoro and Oliver, who stared at the ship, ready in case a fight broke out.
'Will there be someone different this time? In Syrup Village nothing changed. Maybe it only happens occasionally?'
Oliver looked toward the restaurant and decided what to do.
"Where are you going?" Zoro asked him.
"I want to go see what's happening inside the restaurant," Oliver said.
"Let me come with you," Zoro said.
"M-Me too!" Usopp said, feeling safer going with Oliver and Zoro.
The three went to the restaurant to see what would happen.
As they entered the restaurant, Don Krieg and Gin, one of the Krieg Pirates, had already gone inside asking for food, but Patty, one of the cooks, refused them.
"Call the marines! We'll never get another chance like this," Patty said.
The customers, similarly worried, said it was best to call the marines, since they didn't know what he'd do once he recovered his strength.
"If you give me food, I'll leave peacefully, I promise!" Don Krieg bowed.
"Stop, Captain Krieg! A great man like you shouldn't kneel for this. Please, this is disgraceful!" Gin said.
Don Krieg kept begging for food, and Patty continued refusing, but Sanji arrived with a plate of food, kicking Patty out of the way.
"Give him this food, Gin," Sanji said, handing him the plate.
One of the cooks told Sanji it was a mistake to give Don Krieg food because he was a liar who killed marines, and he had also stolen a marine ship to attack villages.
Just as the cook said, Don Krieg got up and struck him with his forearm, sending him flying.
"What is the meaning of this? I brought you here because you promised not to hurt anyone," Gin reproached Don Krieg for attacking Sanji. "Besides, that man is the one who saved my life."
"Now I feel great!!" Don Krieg said, grabbing his subordinate by the neck.
"Gin!!" Luffy shouted.
"So this is what you wanted," Sanji said, injured on the floor.
"It's a good restaurant, so I'll take it," Don Krieg said.
"Take what?" Oliver said, standing behind him.
Oliver grabbed his arm, using Electro, paralyzing him momentarily, then broke it and punched him in the face, sending him flying straight into his ship.
'I hope I handled a possible enemy ahead of time in case that bastard had gotten stronger,' Oliver thought.
