Kartacol was the last stop. When the Hog finally halted near the city gates, only Ren got off. The other passengers continued toward different routes across the Dwarven continent.
He was the only player in the city. Most players were still busy in the northern parts or grinding levels elsewhere. Kartacol was located at the far south of the Dwarven Continent — a long, costly journey few dared to take. Many didn't even have the required ATP to enter Dwarven towns yet, much less waste a night's travel just to reach a mining city in the middle of nowhere.
Ren adjusted his cloak and walked toward the gates. The guards didn't stop him; his ATP allowed him free passage. As soon as he entered, a soft chime rang in his ears — a notification popped on his screen.
It was a message.
From Silvia.
Ren blinked, surprised. He didn't expect to hear from her again. The woman had said she wouldn't ask for his help anymore, and Ren believed her.
Guess she changed her mind.
