While Ren was relaxing on the back of a Hog, he received a message from Scar after four hours of traveling.
Did he already figure it out that fast? Ren thought.
It was possible if Scar's group ignored the hidden rooms and avoided every beast along the way. Vulcan's Cave could actually be cleared within hours if players rushed straight to the Boss's Room without taking detours.
Ren stretched lazily, arms raised over his head, the Hog's rhythmic steps rocking him gently. He opened his message box, expecting a storm of curses from Scar. Instead, what greeted him was calm and polite — which was even more amusing.
[Scar: What you told me is wrong. Vulcan didn't stop at north in fifteen seconds.]
Ren smirked.
On Scar's end, he was fuming but forcing himself to stay calm. He still planned to recruit Ren for Black Lion someday, even if the man had already refused once. The loss of money wasn't what bothered Scar — it was the feeling of being played.
