While Scar was busy with his thoughts, Leonel sat quietly across the table, clutching his crystal interface like it was a lifeline. His palms were sweaty, and his thumbs hesitated over the glowing screen before he finally began typing a long message to Ren.
He explained everything — Scar's offer, the threat about Roz, and the unfair blackmail involving Mike and Saya. He wrote like he was pouring his thoughts into a diary, typing paragraph after paragraph without stopping. It took him more than ten minutes, maybe even fifteen. When he was done, he reviewed it twice before pressing send.
Then came Ren's reply.
It was only one line — short, simple, and to the point.
