Eggy roasted the wolf with the blue flames she casted. The roast was smelling delicious. She kept few of the spatial bags that Diana handed them. She used the spices that were stored inside those bags and made a wonderful meal.
Hale looked pale-white and weaker than normal. Well, not because of the sad wolf's faith but because of using almost all of his energy and Qi. Added in with the slight internal injuries and external long wounds he gained from fighting the beast, it was torturous.
He did not want to eat the wolf, as he rejected Eggy thrice because he felt pitiful for it. But Eggy insisted that it would help him to advance in his cultivation. He finally gave in, and took a bite of the tasty meat. Tears flowed, whilst he chewed the succulent meat. "Thank you for the food." Hale said gratified for the wolf's life.
As Hale consumed the meat, his Qi of sea was expanding. After eating a few pounds, he achieved another breakthrough.
The Qi vessel of his eyes had open, enhancing his sight tremendously. Now he could see ten-folds of the normal distance he had previously. Which is about three kilometers further, where he will be able to spot a bug clearly.
Eggy was also eating the meat and she dug out a red stone from the wolf's heart. This is a beast-core from the wolf, which provides the beast with Mana.
The beast-core has pure Mana stored within. The beast-core can help Mage's to advance by a leap in Mana control, expanding their Mana-pool slightly, which may help them to advance into a new cloak-level.
Eggy casted a spell on the Wolf's remaing meat to preserve it. She kept the beast-core for Dia.
Eggy sniffed the air, she could smell a heavy smoke, like the smoke from burning large trees. Hale also picked up the heavy smoke smell.
They instantly woke up from their lazy position. They saw the smoke is coming from the far North of the forest. They hurried towards that place, as it could be a sign from Dia.
Eggy seemed petite but she is faster than Hale when sprinting on the tree branches. Hale was trying his best to keep up with her.
In half hours time, they arrived at the blazing part of the forest. The trees were already in ashes and they could not go further as it was extremely hot. Eggy casted a spell and a protective layer of Mana shrouded herself and Hale. The fire could not breach the protective layer and the heat gradually subsided.
They walked into the scorching flames and what they saw shocked Hale, making him shiver with fright. Their was horde of beasts, all dead. Heads, limbs and brains could be seen scattered on the ground. Puddles of thickened blood was almost everywhere.
Dia was in the middle of the beast horde. Her hair was set ablaze, but it did not cause her any harm. She seemed berserk. Her eyes was scarlet and heavy killing intent manifested from her. She was floating in the air like a goddess. Her hands held blue spheres of flames that spun into a miniature cyclone. She turned the beasts into ashes.
She slayed the entire horde of beasts by herself. Hale could not even recognize the beasts, because they were mutilated beyond belief.
"Sis-s-sister? Is that you?" Hale asked while stammering. Dia looked at them and her eyes returned to normal. She floated down, slowly towards the ground, while her hands hung loosely aside.
Dia smiled with an evil grin towards Hale. Hale shivered further. But then Dia hugged both of them while Hale was standing stunned by the mass murder.
"Is this the so called buffet I read about?" Eggy asked while she went digging for all the beast-cores. She assorted the meat, that was not bad or burnt completely, into a spatial bag.
"Only now you came to find me? You was probably acting lovey-dovey with Eggy while I had to battle my way out." Dia said with a cutesy look on her face. She giggled at Hale like she knew what was going on. She was shipping them.
Hale's face reddened by what she said. Eggy smiled at him. They were already eleven so they knew about the thing that happens between a girl and a boy, but NOT the process. They just know about marriage and when 'a prince kisses a princess' sort of stuff. Which they read about.
Eggy laughed at his cute and shy look. Eggy began to brush his silver hair, and she winked at him. Dia laughed at Eggy's playful intimate contact with Hale, because his face was red like a tomato. They laughed at his silly appearance, making fun of his crimson face.
