Jay didn't soften.
"When are you leaving?"
Keifer frowned slightly.
"In a few hours."
"Why?"
Jay's voice firm now.
"I'm coming."
Silence.
Keifer blinked.
"You're what?"
Jay repeated.
"I'm coming with you."
Keifer let out a small laugh.
"Jay…"
"Don't."
She cut him off.
"I'm serious."
Keifer sat up.
"This is a friends' trip."
Jay didn't hesitate.
"Good."
"I'm your friend."
Keifer rubbed his forehead.
"This isn't how it works."
Jay's tone sharpened.
"Then don't go."
Silence.

Keifer's expression changed.
"Jay…"
"Choose."
Her voice dropped.

"I come with you…"
"Or you don't go."
Keifer stood up now.
"This is not fair."
Jay laughed softly.

"You going on a trip with girls is fair?"
Keifer exhaled.
"You said you trust me."
Jay replied instantly.

Then quieter…
"But I don't trust them."
That hit.
Keifer stayed silent for a second.

Jay continued.
"And I don't like it."
"Simple."
Keifer walked to the window.
"Jay…"
She didn't let him finish.

"I'm not acting cool about this."
"I'm not pretending."
Her voice softened slightly.
"But still strong.
"I want to come."

Neither spoke.
Then Keifer asked quietly—
"Is this jealousy?"
Jay didn't deny it.
"Yes."

Honest.
Real.
Keifer turned slowly.
His expression softened.

"You're impossible."
Jay crossed her arms.
"I know."

Then Keifer sighed.
"Fine."
Jay blinked.

Keifer smirked slightly.
"Pack your bags."
Jay froze.
"You're serious?"
Keifer nodded.
"Yes."
"You're coming."
Jay's face lit up.
Instantly.
"Really?!"
Keifer chuckled.
"Really."
Jay grabbed her bag again.

Excited.
"I'm ready in ten minutes."
Keifer laughed.
"No way."
Jay rushed around.
"You'll see."
Then suddenly—
She stopped.
Looked at the phone.
"Keifer…"
"Hmm?"
Her voice softened.
"Thank you."
Keifer smiled faintly.
"For what?"
Jay replied quietly.
"For choosing me."
Keifer's expression softened completely.
"I didn't choose."
A pause.
Then gently…
"I just couldn't say no to you."
Jay smiled.
Soft.
Happy.
Possessive.
And a little victorious.
Call ended.
Jay looked at herself in the mirror.
A slow smile spreading.
"Let's see now…"
Her eyes sparkled slightly.
"Who those girls are."
