Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Momousagi and Cha-ton

"We're finally here! It's been three days, and I still haven't gotten used to life at sea. It'll be good to go ashore and relax a bit," Kaya said with delight. She really couldn't stand the past few days of sea life; she still needed time to adjust. But now that they'd seen Loguetown, she naturally wanted to go ashore and have some fun.

"If we hadn't been fighting these past three days, we probably would have arrived much sooner," Carmen added.

She had been here about a month ago for a cooking competition, and had visited here more or less before that.

So she knew very well that if it weren't for the delays caused by battles, they would have arrived much earlier.

Luna heard this and thought it was true. The Straw Hat Pirates only took about a day to travel from Cocoyasi Village to Loguetown, didn't they?

In terms of distance, the journey from Guevara Town to Loguetown was actually quite similar.

If it weren't for the need to eliminate those scoundrels, they would have arrived long ago. However, it wasn't without its rewards. After all, these idiots were all like money-delivering children. The wealth accumulated on their ship was quite substantial now; their total group funds on the ship amounted to at least 300 million Berries.

Everyone just needed to tell Kuina if they wanted to take money from the storage room.

Currently, Luna and Kuina were the least busy on the ship. After all, one was the Captain and the other was the first mate and Swordsman. They weren't formal professionals and only needed to do what they liked. So, as the first mate, Kuina was currently serving as the financial manager.

"Alright, everyone, dock the ship at that harbor. We'll go ashore and have free time. We won't be eating lunch on the ship this time; everyone will find their own food in town. However, everyone must return to the ship by 1 PM tonight."

Luna immediately stepped forward and said. Her companions nodded, and they quickly sailed the pirate ship over, docking it at a small harbor. Everyone disembarked; there was no need for anyone to stand guard.

After all, they had a Great Scientist among them. Those robots could not only clean the ship but also patrol and guard the pirate ship.

These robots even had some defensive and offensive weapon systems that could be activated at any time to deal with any encroaching enemies.

Many areas of their ship had been upgraded with high-tech fingerprint or iris locks.

Even their valuables were kept in a super safe specially built by Shiro.

In short, they could leave the pirate ship with peace of mind; the pirate ship was very safe now.

"I need to buy some training equipment for swordsmanship and special wooden dummies. I'm off."

"The materials on the ship are almost used up. I need to buy some materials to continue my scientific research."

"The kitchen utensils on the ship aren't very complete after these past few days, and I need to buy some other seasonings and ingredients."

"I need to buy the next maps and a directional compass. This is Loguetown, so there should be similar shops. I'll go ahead."

"I'm going to buy some medical books, then some herbs and medical supplies."

"I don't have many bullets left. There should be a blacksmith here, right? I need to find someone to forge a batch."

The six companions spoke one after another. Everyone had already received their money, and Kuina had already recorded it, including her own.

Soon, they left the pirate ship one by one and walked into the town.

"Then I'll go check out the execution platform first." Seeing her companions depart, Luna still decided to go see the execution platform, even though it had been destroyed. It was where the former Pirate King Roger, one of the two top powerhouses who defeated her cheap grandfather, the other being Garp, was executed.

He was executed right here back then. As for the reason, it wasn't because he was truly captured by the Marines, but because he surrendered.

After all, the useless Marines didn't have that capability. They were just a bunch of liars who committed all sorts of evil deeds under the guise of justice, though these liars did possess some strength.

But honestly, she was a transmigrator. While she inherited the memories of her past life, she didn't harbor much hatred. After all, Rocks had arranged for his wife very well, and her predecessor's generation lived quite well. It was just fate's cruel twist, the power of natural disasters and nature, that turned Rocks' bloodline descendants into their current state.

In other words, she inherited her predecessor's body, but not much of the hatred. After all, this sea was like that: survival of the fittest. Only the victors could decide everything; the losers could only fade away.

Rocks lost due to his arrogance back then, which led to his defeat by the combined efforts of Garp and Roger, and the betrayal of his crew. Of course, the main reason was that Rocks truly didn't know how to manage people.

But in the end, there was still this cheap bloodline, and she would still do some things to make up for her predecessor's family.

And now, Luna intended to visit the execution platform, the place where the former Pirate King met his end more than 20 years ago.

But suddenly, the system, which had been silent for some time, once again popped into her mind and announced:

"Detecting that the host has arrived at an important city in the Pirate King world, the following tasks will be assigned to the host."

"Please stay by the execution platform where the Pirate King was once executed for five minutes. Reward: one random Infinity Stone, one summon card."

"Please, host, personally defeat Marine Reserve Admirals Momousagi and Tokikake with overwhelming power, teaching the Marines a painful lesson. Reward: two Observation Haki Awakening Cards, two armament haki awakening cards."

Seeing the tasks that had appeared in her mind, Luna's heart immediately filled with joy, as the rewards for both tasks this time were excellent.

Not only would she have new companions, but she had already discussed it with Kuina and the others. She also believed that the new companions would be able to temporarily share a double room.

These four Haki Awakening Cards would also help her companions increase their strength once again.

Of course, the most important thing was that this time's reward actually included an Infinity Stone from the Marvel world! This was a divine artifact!

It was random, as there were six Infinity Stones in total, each containing powerful and magical abilities and power. Luna was curious which one she would receive.

But no matter which one it was, she would like it. It was just a pity she couldn't have them all.

Hehe, thinking of this, Luna chuckled a little sheepishly. It was a good thing there was no one around her, otherwise, her smile, as such a beautiful Little girl, would probably stun a lot of people.

Luna thought with a bit of self-admiration, but she also had to admit that after possessing the gliza template's power, Luna was indeed incredibly beautiful and charming, with an added touch of cuteness.

Soon, she stopped smiling. More accurately, the expression on her face instantly turned into a cold sneer and disdain.

Because she realized that from the content of the tasks, it wasn't hard to see that there must be Marines in Loguetown now, and this time they were from Marineford. The only two Reserve Admirals of the Marines, Momousagi and Tokikake. Heh, the Marines really did pay some attention to her.

If that's the case, then let them come. Just as the task said, she would teach the Marines a painful lesson... But in fact, Momousagi and Tokikake had already arrived in Loguetown a day earlier, bringing the elite Marine Soldiers from Marineford who came with them this time.

And the two of them were currently in the Marine branch in Loguetown, in Smoker's former office.

Of course, the smell of smoke inside had long been cleared, otherwise Tokikake and Momousagi wouldn't have been able to stand it.

These two, a beautiful Great Swordsman and a somewhat lecherous-looking uncle, were now boredly sipping tea and playing chess.

They were passing the time and waiting for the Pink Hat Pirates to arrive.

They were waiting here because they believed the Pink Hat Pirates would want to enter the Grand Line, and to enter the Grand Line from the East Blue, they would definitely have to pass through Loguetown.

This place, considered a sacred land by countless pirates, was where Pirate King Roger was born and died.

Especially the execution platform, whether it was still standing or already destroyed beyond recognition, was a place revered by pirates.

"Checkmate! I win, hahahaha."

"Hmph, I can't beat you at this."

"Um... Gion, could you..."

"No way."

"Hey, hey, hey, don't be so heartless so quickly?"

But soon, it was clear that Tokikake won this chess game, which made him overjoyed, as he had defeated the goddess.

Momousagi could only pout in displeasure and turn her face away. Tokikake took the opportunity to confess his feelings, not knowing how many times he had done so, but at this point, it was at least over 50 times.

Tokikake had admired Momousagi for a long time; he desperately wanted to win over this flower of the Marines.

But the problem was, Momousagi had no interest in him at all. The main reason was that Tokikake's appearance was simply too indescribable; he didn't fit the image in her heart at all. At least he should be a handsome guy.

So, Momousagi rejected him without a second thought, not even giving Tokikake a chance to say another word.

Tokikake immediately became anxious and was about to say something, but suddenly a Marine Soldier burst through the door.

And immediately said with some urgency:

"Report, two Vice Admiral-level adults, the Pink Hat Pirates have arrived! And just as you suspected, they have split up. The primary target this time, the Pink Hat Pirates Captain, the Pink Hat Little girl Luna, is heading towards the execution platform."

Hearing this, their target, the Pink Hat Pirates, had finally arrived. Momousagi and Tokikake immediately became serious, as it was time to get down to business.

They had to work.

At the same time, from the Marine Soldier's previous words, it wasn't hard to tell that they had already guessed that Luna and her crew would split up and act independently.

Luna would definitely come to the execution platform. After all, they would need to resupply, and they believed that her crew members were all professionals, or special ability users. After sailing for so long, they would definitely prioritize resupplying upon arrival.

And Luna, as the Captain, would definitely come to the execution platform.
