"Specialist, huh," Satoru judged his Nen category based on the water reaction. Even though it wasn't what he wished for, he wasn't too disappointed. Specialist was much better than Enhance and Emission.
"Any idea what Hatsu you want to create?" Tsunade recognized the category and curiously asked.
Even though she now knew many Nen applications, she still found it unimpressive. So, the thought of wasting three million points on a tasteless thing never crossed her mind.
"Hatsu, huh," Satoru thought for a moment before deciding. "Not sure yet, but it probably will be a spatial ability."
Tsunade snorted and mocked, "Still hung up on that jutsu, I see."
"Of course!" Satoru replied without hesitation.
"Just give up already. If learning Flying Thunder God was that easy, it wouldn't be my grandfather's second special technique."
Satoru pouted but didn't argue. Who in their right mind would give up learning Flying Thunder God? But unfortunately, he trained for years without success, proving that he didn't have a talent for the jutsu.
"Since I can't learn it, I'll just create a similar... no, a better ability," Satoru said, not deciding on a whim but thinking about it before.
Creating a Hatsu was quite complicated. Not only would it be restricted by the category, but it also needed numerous vows to strengthen it.
He already had many destructive jutsu, so there was no need for him to create a combat-type Hatsu.
A space Hatsu wouldn't just aid him in combat, but it could also be used as an escaping tool or fighting multiple enemies as support.
His current problem was deciding what space-type Hatsu to develop. Many ideas flashed through his mind: Blink, Portal, Barrier, Infinity...
"There's no hurry to choose yet," he shook his head and decided to give it more thought.
"By the way, don't you need to prepare for your match?" Satoru asked.
"Shot, almost forgot," Tsunade hurriedly checked the time and left in relief after confirming she wasn't late. "Remember to bet on me."
Satoru groaned, feeling too lazy to witness a match that would end in seconds. But since he'd go to the betting stand anyway, he might as well watch another proud Nen user getting thrashed.
For the next three weeks, Satoru and Tsunade won all of their matches. Since they didn't attempt to threaten or kill anyone, none of their opponents forfeited the fight.
Which was quite fine for both of them, as it gave them a good opportunity to stretch their muscles and win easy cash.
Currently, they were sitting among the audience, watching Hisoka vs. Kastro.
Watching Hisoka lose an arm yet still smiling, Tsunade frowned. "This guy is weird. He clearly is the stronger one, yet he lets his opponent dismantle him like that. Does he enjoy getting beaten?"
Satoru chuckled beside her. "You have no idea. This guy is the perfect combination of Orochimaru and Jiraiya."
"You mean in creepy and perv way," Tsunade smirked.
"Exactly!" Satoru slapped his thighs and laughed. It looked like her sense of humor had improved a little.
"Though, I still think it's meaningless to get beaten for pleasure," Tsunade said. As a Shinobi, she took most fights seriously, always seeking to end the opponent while avoiding injuries as much as possible. But the masochistic pervert in front of her seemed to enjoy doing the opposite.
Does Nen affected braincells, perhaps. She glanced suspiciously at Satoru. He wouldn't become dumb like him, would he?
"I sense malicious thoughts from you," Satoru noticed her pitying gaze and felt she was slandering in her messed-up mind.
She coughed and changed the subject. "Anyway, are you interested in that guy for you to bring me to watch?"
"Don't put it in a way that people might misunderstand," Satoru sighed. "Weren't you bored these days? I wanted you to see how exciting a proper Nen fight between experts is."
"But it's not exciting at all," Tsunade said. How could these little tricks compare to Ninjutsu? Could Nen abilities vaporize the sea? Could they create a massive beast enough to flatten a hill? So many Nen chakra comparisons made her look down on Nen.
"Well, that's understandable. Since you don't have Nen, you can't exactly see the situation clearly," Satoru nodded as he watched the fight with Gyo.
"The Iron Punch, Lady Tsunade has a bored look on her face and doesn't seem impressed. Is the fight really that boring, or does she think Hisoka and Kastro are too weak for her to take seriously... what do you think, ladies and gentlemen? Who wants to see a fight between these three contestants?"
Satoru twitched his lips at the announcer's outrageous hype as the camera briefly shifted toward him and Tsunade.
"Do you really consider Hisoka weak?" Satoru glanced at the curious Killua beside them and sighed. He had no interest in associating with the main cast, as they were too poor to give him anything valuable, but he didn't expect that the tower would arrange their seats deliberately to fabricate rumors.
"Well, he's not weak in a normal sense..." Satoru explained when he noticed Tsunade had no interest in talking. "It's just that we are too good in comparison."
Killua snorted and turned his attention back to the fight. He asked merely because he recognized the two as the fastest match-enders in the tower, which meant they were pretty strong.
Hisoka was Gon's goal, so getting the opinions of strong people about him would be very insightful.
But to outrageously dismiss Hisoka as a weakling? They must be out of their minds.
"You kid..." Satoru felt offended by the disdainful look on Killua's face, but he was too lazy to argue with a kid who had just come into contact with Nen and thought he was hot stuff.
"I should arrange our next matches fast," Satoru thought.
Tsunade started to get bored from the tower, and honestly, so was he. Why were they even gathering money for? They would steal the occasion items anyway. As for the Greed Island game, they could just get hired as mercenaries.
But for that to happen, he needed to convince Tsunade to learn Nen.
"We'll leave after winning ten fights and become floor masters," Satoru said.
A floor master would receive a monthly salary and only need to fight once a year. So, it was pretty convenient for them.
Two weeks later, Satoru stood in the arena facing Hisoka with a blank look.
"How did it come to this?"
