Chapter 3 - Chapter 3:- The CEO's Little Fox

The silence of the top-floor executive suite was thick, usually filled only by the hum of the city below and the rhythmic tapping of a keyboard.

But today, the atmosphere had shifted. It was no longer cold and sterile; it was charged with a strange, magnetic warmth.

Feng Yuan sat as still as a statue in his office chair doing his work stiffly, his breath shallow.

On his lap, the silver fox—his "Little Fox"—had fallen into a deep, trusting sleep.

Her single tail was draped over his knee, the tip twitching occasionally as if she were chasing butterflies in her dreams.

[Host, wake up! You're drooling on a suit that costs more than a small apartment!] Baby's voice echoed in Nan Si's mind, vibrant and teasing.

Nan Si stirred, her long, silver eyelashes fluttering.

She didn't open her eyes immediately;

Instead, she nuzzled deeper into the expensive fabric of Feng Yuan's trousers. 'um..... Let me sleep. Baby, His soul fragment is so warm... it feels like being back in the Chaos Pool.'

[Oh, I bet it does,] Baby snickered.

[But look at your 'Jue Jue.' He hasn't moved in forty-five minutes.

His legs are probably falling asleep, but he's looking at you like you're the only star in his sky.

Statistics show he is 99% close to becoming a total 'Fox Slave.']

Nan Si peeked one eye open. She looked up, and her violet gaze met Feng Yuan's dark, intense eyes.

He was staring down at her with a look of such raw, obsessive adoration that any woman might have been frightened.

But Nan Si wasn't a mortal; she was his Lotus, his Sisi. She saw the "love at first sight" etched into the very lines of his face.

To him, she wasn't just a rare animal; she was the missing piece of his soul.

"You're awake," Feng Yuan whispered. His voice was a low rumble that vibrated through his chest, a sound Nan Si found incredibly soothing.

He reached down, his large, calloused thumb gently stroking the space between her ears.

Nan Si let out a high-pitched, lively chirp—a sound of pure innocence—and licked his thumb with a tiny, soft pink tongue.

Feng Yuan's heart did a slow, heavy roll in his chest. "Let's go home."

He didn't put her back in the cage. He didn't even call for his assistant. He simply gathered her up, supporting her small weight against his shoulder, and walked out of the office.

The employees of the Feng Group were used to seeing their CEO as a god of war—stern, unapproachable, and utterly ruthless. When the elevator doors opened and Feng Yuan stepped out into the lobby, a collective gasp swept through the room.

The "Tyrant" was carrying a ball of silver fluff. And he wasn't just carrying it; he was shielding it from the heavy lights around corridor with the lapel of his overcoat.

[Host, look at their faces!] Baby cackled in her head. [The stock market is going to have a stroke tomorrow. 'CEO of Feng Group Spotted Snuggling a Fox.' It's the headline of the century!]

Nan Si poked her little head out from under his coat, her bright eyes scanning the shocked faces of the staff. She felt a surge of playful energy. She let out a tiny, cheerful "Yip!" and wagged her fluffy tail, sending a spray of shimmering silver fur onto Feng Yuan's black coat.

Anyone else would have been fired on the spot for ruining his suit. Feng Yuan only tightened his grip slightly, his lips curving into the ghost of a smile. "Quiet, little one. We'll be home soon."

The Feng Mansion was a sprawling estate of glass and steel, perched on a cliffside overlooking the ocean.

It was a place built for a man who wanted to be alone.

But as the gates swung open, the atmosphere of the house seemed to change, anticipating the arrival of its new mistress.

As soon as they entered the grand foyer, Feng Yuan set her down on the polished marble. Nan Si immediately began to explore.

She didn't walk; she bounced. Her paws made soft patter-patter sounds as she jumped from the sofa to the coffee table, her lively spirit filling the quiet halls.

"Careful," Feng Yuan warned, though his eyes followed her every move with a hunger he couldn't hide.

Nan Si spotted a tall, crystal vase filled with white roses.

To her, they looked like the clouds she used to drift through.

She leaped, her tiny paws landing on the rim.

Cling! The vase wobbled precariously.

"Nan Si!" Feng Yuan called out—a name he hadn't been given, yet it slipped from his tongue as if he had spoken it for eons.

The vase tipped. Nan Si "clumsily" tried to regain her balance, but instead, she tumbled backward, landing in a heap of silver fur on the rug. The vase shattered, water spilling everywhere.

She looked up at him, her ears flattened, her violet eyes filling with a "guilty" mist. She looked so small, so innocent, and so heartbreakingly cute that Feng Yuan felt a physical ache in his chest.

He strode over, ignored the broken glass, and knelt in the puddle of water. He scooped her up, checking her paws for cuts.

"It's alright," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "It's just a vase. I'll buy you a hundred more to break if it makes you happy."

[Ding! Affection Level: 45!] Baby cheered. [He's gone, Host. He's absolutely gone for you. You could burn the house down and he'd ask if you were warm enough.]

The evening was a blur of indulgence. Feng Yuan, the man who handled multi-billion dollar mergers, spent three hours researching "proper nutrition for celestial foxes."

He sat on the floor of his master bedroom—a place no one was ever allowed to enter—hand-feeding Nan Si bits of the finest Grade A5 Wagyu beef, lightly seared and cut into tiny, fox-sized cubes.

Nan Si sat on her haunches, her front paws resting on his knee, taking the meat from his fingers with delicate grace.

After each bite, she would let out a soft purr and rub her head against his wrist, her innocent affection melting the last of his icy reserves.

"You're not a normal fox, are you?" Feng Yuan asked, his voice a soft caress.

He was sitting with his back against the bed, his tie discarded, his shirt unbuttoned at the collar.

He looked human for the first time in years.

Nan Si tilted her head, her lively eyes sparkling.

She jumped onto his chest, her weight negligible, and curled her tail around his neck like a silver scarf.

As she drifted her nose against his jawline, breathing in the scent of sandalwood and power.

'Not a normal fox, Jue Jue,' she thought, her heart swelling with love. 'I am your Lotus. And I've come across worlds to find you.'

As the moon rose over the ocean, Feng Yuan lay in his massive bed.

Usually, he suffered from chronic insomnia, his mind racing with shadows and numbers.

But tonight, he had a warm, breathing weight tucked into the crook of his arm.

Nan Si was stretched out, her silver fur contrasting beautifully with the charcoal silk sheets.

She was enjoying this—the softness of the bed, the steady rhythm of his heart, and the way he subconsciously pulled her closer every time she moved.

[Host,] Baby whispered softly, the system's light dimmed for the night.

[The dark power in this world is quiet for now, but don't forget why we're here. We need to stabilize his soul. The more he loves you, the stronger the fragment becomes.]

'I know, Baby,' Nan Si replied, her thoughts drifting into a peaceful haze.

'But for tonight... I just want to be his. I want to feel the love he's been holding for me for millions of years.'

Feng Yuan reached out in his sleep, his hand finding her small form. He pulled her against his chest, his chin resting on the top of her head.

"Mine," he muttered in his sleep, the word a vow that echoed through the silent room.

Nan Si closed her eyes, a soft, mischievous smile hidden beneath her fox-mask.

She had survived the Snow Plane and the void, and now she was exactly where she wanted to be: in the arms of the man she loved, being pampered like the goddess she was.
