Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:- The CEO'S Little Fox

When she opened her eyes again, Nan Si found herself suspended in a void.

There was no roof, no floor—only a sea of endless stars drifting around her like celestial fireflies. Some pulsed with a fierce heat, while others flickered quietly in the velvet darkness.

Nan Si blinked, her long lashes casting soft shadows.

"…Where am I this time?"

A small, glowing orb flapped erratically around her head, trailing stardust.

[Host, welcome to the Fragment Space.]

Nan Si looked at it, her gaze cool. "You were the one who dragged me away just now?"

The orb gave a dry, metallic cough. [Saved. I prefer the word saved.]

Nan Si crossed her arms lightly, her white robes billowing in the zero-gravity space. "Alright. Explain."

The orb straightened, its glow intensifying with a sense of pride. [I am System 001. You may call me… Baby.]

"…Baby?"

[Yes. Statistics show that cute names improve host cooperation by 42%.]

Nan Si couldn't help but let out a soft, melodic laugh. "You're quite shameless for a piece of code."

Baby twirled happily, ignoring the jab. [This space connects all fragment worlds. The Heavenly Dao's reach cannot extend here. From now on, Host will enter different realms to collect the soul fragments of the Supreme God, Di Jue.]

At the mention of that name, Nan Si's expression softened. The coldness in her eyes thawed into a deep, ancient longing.

"So… he really scattered," she whispered.

Baby nodded solemnly. [After the Great war, Supreme God Di Jue sealed himself. His soul shattered into fragments, falling into the cycle of reincarnation in three thousand world and ten great world in different time-lines.]

Nan Si lowered her gaze to her hands. "That's why I couldn't find him for millions of years. Even though we share the same origin, I couldn't sense his breath."

[Host transformed from the Chaos Lotus because of your longing for him,] Baby floated closer, its light warming her.

[That longing is your compass. It resonates with the fragments.]

Nan Si touched her chest gently. Beneath her palm She can feel the warmth, the fragment that had followed her from eternal realm was now rested quietly against her Chaos Lotus core glowed with a faint, steady pulse.

Sensing her touch, the fragment silently glowed and responded.

A small, determined smile played on her lips. "Then I won't waste it."

[First world preparing!] Baby chirped.

Nan Si tilted her head. "So fast?"

[The dark power is increasing fast, So we have to go.]

Nan Si nodded. "Send me."

Ding dong --

Soul transfer successful

Character name: Nan Si

Fragment location: Detected

In an instant, the stars folded inward. Space twisted like a silk ribbon being pulled tight.

The darkness exploded into a blinding white light, and Nan Si felt herself falling.

[ World 1: The CEO'S Little fox]

A sudden, biting chill brushed against her cheeks.

"Achoo!" Nan Si sneezed—a tiny, high-pitched sound that she didn't recognize as her own.

She opened her eyes to a world of pure white. Snow covered the land like a heavy, silent blanket.

The sky was a pale, muted grey, and the wind carried the scent of frozen pine.

Nan Si tried to stretch her limbs, but the movement felt… wrong. Her body was incredibly light, and her center of gravity had shifted.

She lowered her head. Two small, dainty silver paws were tucked into the powdery snow.

Nan Si stared. She lifted the left paw. The silver-furred limb moved. She lifted the right. It followed.

Behind her, something heavy and incredibly fluffy brushed against the snow. Nan Si turned her head slowly, catching sight of a magnificent, shimmering silver tail.

Silence.

"…I became small," she muttered.

[Host, you have successfully transformed,] Baby's voice echoed in her mind, sounding suspiciously amused.

Nan Si walked to a nearby patch of clear ice to see her reflection.

A little silver fox stared back. Her fur was the color of moonlight, her eyes a deep, intelligent violet. She looked like a creature made of stardust and silk.

"…A fox?"

[Identity: Nan Si, the Only Nine-Tailed Fox Princess of the Snow Plane who is left in this small world. Current Status: Cultivation collapsed. Tails remaining: One.]

Nan Si looked back at her solitary, fluffy tail. "Where are the other eight?"

[Sealed,] Baby coughed. [You'll have to earn them back.]

Nan Si accepted this with the grace of an ancient goddess. "Fine. I'll grow them back later. For now… where is he?"

[Detected. Soul Fragment Carrier: Feng Yuan, Chairman of the Feng Group.]

Nan Si's ears twitched. "A human?"

[Yes. A very powerful, very cold human.] The baby replied while flying around space in her consciousness

Nan Si's eyes curved into crescent moons. "So Jue Jue is sleeping as a mortal this time. How interesting."

[ The Feng Group Headquarters ]

The transition was a blur of memories. Nan Si saw the original Nan Si's life—a princess who wandered into the human world, was captured by hunters, and eventually died in a cage, never having seen the world she was so curious about.

'I'll finish your journey for you,' Nan Si thought softly.

Suddenly, the cold wind was replaced by the hum of an air conditioner.

Nan Si found herself inside a luxurious transport cage lined with black velvet.

Outside the reinforced glass, a sprawling modern metropolis glittered under the evening lights.

The vehicle came to a smooth stop.

"Chairman Feng has arrived."

The heavy door opened, and a man stepped into the garage.

He wore a charcoal-black overcoat that emphasized his tall, lean frame. His features were like those of a sculpted god—sharp, cold, and devastatingly handsome.

He carried an aura of absolute restraint, like a blade tucked inside a velvet sheath.

Feng Yuan stopped the moment his eyes hit the cage.

For a second, the world seemed to tilt. He didn't like animals. He found them messy and unpredictable.

But the moment his gaze landed on the silver fox, his chest tightened.

It wasn't a physical pain, but a strange, deep resonance—as if a key had finally turned in a lock that had been rusted shut for a lifetime.

Nan Si looked back at him. She didn't cower. Instead, she tilted her head, her violet eyes studying him with an ancient, knowing warmth.

Jue Jue… I found you.

She lifted a tiny silver paw and pressed it against the glass.

Feng Yuan's heart skipped a beat.

Unconsciously, he stepped closer, his hand reaching out to touch the glass where her paw rested.

"Chairman?" the secretary whispered, confused. "The Lu group sent this over as a gift. Should I have them take it away?"

Feng Yuan didn't look away from the fox. The coldness in his eyes didn't vanish, but it flickered, replaced by an obsessive intensity.

"No," Feng Yuan said, his voice low and firm.

He leaned down, his face just inches from the glass.

He could see his own reflection in the fox's eyes, and for the first time in his life, he felt… whole.

"Bring her to my office," he commanded. "Directly to my desk."

[Host,] Baby whispered in her mind.

[Fragment distance: 0.5 meters.

Nan Si curled her tail around her paws and let out a soft, satisfied purr.

The hunt was over. The pampering was about to begin.
