Half an hour later, a convoy of trucks and SUVs pulled up in front of the farm, as multiple people got out one by one.
From the centermost car, Maple emerged, looking chic as ever in her pristine uniform.
Spotting Raiden, she quickly made her way towards him with around 30 people following behind her.
The commotion woke Raiden from his post-enhancement recovery of trees that left him feeling weak in the knees.
Sylvia, who also noticed so many people walking towards her brother, thought he had done something bad as she quickly made her way towards him with Ruby, appearing at his side in the blink of an eye.
Soon, both groups came face to face with each other, the Maple's group feeling tense by the intense stare that Ruby was giving them, making them feel like their death was guaranteed if they tried to do anything fishy.
Maple, being the head of the group, took the lead in coming forward and greeting him, while inwardly feeling the pressure. As she'd suspected, he was no simple boy.
"Good afternoon, Mr Raiden. After receiving your phone call, we came as quickly as we could. Where should we offload the cargo?"
"You didn't need to come personally yourself, big sister Maple. But thank you. Just here is fine."
"Alright. We'll get started right away." As soon as she gave the signal, the back door of one of the trucks opened, and 10 slightly anxious Woolies got off it, looking uncomfortable in the new place.
The other workers moved quickly as well, offloading all the food, Wooden board piles, and other construction materials.
Seeing all this, Sylvia slightly tugged on Raiden's clothes, feeling surprised.
"Big brother, what's all this?"
"We can't live in that run-down house and clean it all ourselves, can we? Please, who knows if the toilet or electricity even works? So I called for help, who will make sure everything is working correctly and perfectly. As for those Terra Beasts, they are our ticket to riches!!"
Raiden spoke in an inspiring tone, making Sylvia feel something was wrong here.
"They are our way to get rich? How? Also, where did you get so much money from to afford all this? You are not into some shady stuff, are you?"
"You brat! Always doubting your big brother, don't need to worry about it. Just go with these people to our home and supervise their work. Also, tell them if you want to change something or get something done in the house, tell them, okay?"
"Fine, I am going!! Stinky Raiden, always bossing me around." While grumbling, Sylvia trudged along with the workers as they went inside the house, happy to be of any little help.
Woolie, on the other hand, was the happiest person here.
Looking at so many Terra Beasts of his kind, he quickly ran towards them, declaring himself as their Emperor.
The poor Terra Beasts, who already had an inferiority complex due to their bad grades and bullying by their fellow members, quickly accepted this new shining Woolie as their leader.
Happy, Woolie led them all to play somewhere in the wild, with a bounce in his steps.
Meanwhile, Raiden led Maple towards the big barn, talking along the way.
"As we discussed before, I want you to modify the whole barn, make it more comfortable for let's say 50-100 Woolies for now. Also, put a fence around the whole outer perimeter. Check all the connections in the house, clean it up and make a pathway leading directly to the main road from the house of the farm."
Raiden listed off all his requirements like a machine gun, while a girl who was walking behind Maple kept noting everything down in her tablet.
After confirming everything, she quickly stepped back, leaving Maple alone with Raiden.
"I must say, Mr Raiden, you have a beautiful farm here. I heard a big tycoon purchased this part of the land a year ago. Never thought it would be you."
Raiden chuckled at her words.
"What tycoon, you know how poor I am, Big Sister Maple. Also, please call me Raiden, since I am already calling you sister while you are calling me Mr Raiden. Doesn't seem very fair."
"Hehe. Alright. I'll call you little brother from now on. So what are your future plans, little brother?" Maple also didn't stand on formality.
"Me? I plan to rest and work on my farm peacefully." Raiden replied immediately. His future plans had slight tweaks, but it was still the same overall.
Hearing this, Maple gave a look filled with disdain, as if saying: *'Who are you kidding?!'*
The boy owned a land that was worth more than a Billion Credits, raised a normal Woolie that somehow beat their strongest Bronze Tier in just a week, and when she tried to check information about him or his parents, it came out as classified, even with the access granted to their family.
Not to mention, he also had this massive, giant serpent that gave her a feeling of oppression. She had never seen or felt a Gold Tier beast so strong. If it wasn't for all these mysteries surrounding him, why would she bother coming here herself?
And now this same boy was claiming he had no other motives and just wanted to farm peacefully. Like hell she'll believe it.
"Ahem... Don't look at me like that. I am speaking the absolute truth. I just want to farm peacefully and pay back my debts. Nothing else, I swear." Raiden felt a bit self-conscious under her stare, as he tried to clarify his position.
"Sure you do, little brother. I guess you don't consider this big sister your close one yet, but that is fine. I'll be here if you ever want to tell me the truth." Maple shed a fake tear, trying to appeal to his sympathy, leaving him speechless.
Why did no one believe him, even when he said the truth? The whole world has become a cursed place now. Where is the basic trust between humans?
Meanwhile, Ruby looked on silently at Raiden, who had taken charge and grown so much, and he looked a bit like a womaniser now?!
This must not do!! She must talk to him tonight and bring him back from the crooked path. She silently determined herself as she watched Raiden laugh and tease Maple with her narrowed serpentine eyes.
