4 Days Later

"Hurry upp! Run fasterr! Or you'll suffer my wrathh!!" A menacing voice hissed from Raiden's side, jolting him, as he gave his all to run faster.

It had been 4 days since he experienced the bloodlust head-on before fainting. And his Aunt Ruby, the culprit, didn't like it too much, declared him a weakling, before she decided he needed some training too.

This made Raiden speechless. He was a Battle Master who used his Terra Beasts to fight the battles. He never needed to enter the battlefield himself. It was enough to train Woolie and make him strong. Why does he need to train??

But one single glare from her shut down all his arguments.

He realised one single fact from this argument. His opinion didn't matter in this house anymore.

So he did the only thing he could do: train hard. He quickly ordered two sets of simple weighted clothes that could increase their weight by attaching plates to them. One for Woolie and one for himself.

With this final purchase, he had fully maxed out the one-million-credit loan from Maple. He had no more money to buy anything else.

And so started their training arc. After finishing their daily chores around the farm and sending Sylvia to school, Ruby started training and grilling him hard.

From morning till evening, both he and Woolie had to complete multiple sets of exercises. Not to mention, he had to run both physical and mental training methods together to get the best results. By the time they were done with it, he often felt so tired that he just wanted to die.

Woolie, on the other hand, felt himself thriving. He loved to train and grow stronger. Now with proper training gear that fit his body, he was constantly pushing his limits, breaking them every single day.

Just like that, man and beast both pushed themselves harder and harder, striving to achieve the peak.

"Alrightt, you are done for todayy." Hearing that felt like a godsend to Raiden, as he collapsed from fatigue. His legs felt like they were filled with lead, and his whole body was screaming in pain.

Not daring to waste any time, Raiden pulled two Power Berries, and both of them started eating one each to replenish their energy. Thank the gods for the berry trees, or he wouldn't have any money to buy high-energy food for both. Raiden had to sit still and run both techniques together, while Woolie was just lying in the sun, basking in it.

After 15 minutes, just as Raiden recovered enough energy to move around, Ruby appeared before him once again.

"Alrightt, we aree doing somethingg differentt todayy, come." Raiden wondered what kind of torture she had planned for him today as he reluctantly followed her in the distance.

"Woolie~" The little sheep, hearing there is a new type of training to be done, skipped after her happily. This made Raiden envy him. Only if he could have such a simple mind like him.

As they walked in the wild expanse of the farm, multiple wild Terrans peeked at them from a distance.

Some were hiding in the water, some were flying overhead, while others were hiding behind rocks and trees, all secretly watching them, afraid to get close.

Most of it was due to Ruby's intimidating aura that she gave off, but the other reason was that only the weakest Terra Beasts lived on the edge of the forest. They were peaceful and timid kind.

After walking a little distance, they stopped in a little clearing some distance away from the main farmland, as Ruby let out a roar.

Hearing her roar, a lot of howls and roars echoed from the dark forest, as a pack of wild wolves emerged from it, forming a line before Ruby as they bowed their head down.

"Alrightt, you both will be facingg thesee Terranss who I'll be controllingg~" Ruby spoke in her soft, mature tone, as she addressed her little family.

"You want us to fight? By us, me also? How??" Raiden asked, baffled.

On the other hand, Woolie's eyes lit up after looking at the Wolves. Aren't they the same little brothers he made first when he conquered that place? He could beat them easily.

"Woolie~!" Bring it on. ( •̀ ω •́ )

"You can't bee a Battle Masterr if you neverr battledd togetherr before. And you can't take off yourr weightt." Ruby narrowed her eyes, giving Raiden no chance to reply as she directed the wolves mentally, as they surrounded them from all sides.

"Grrr..."

Raiden had no choice but to get ready.

Isn't it just fighting with my Terra Beasts? He grew up watching 25 seasons of a certain show where an eternal 10-year-old travelled around the world with his little mouse, who became a literal thunder god by the end. He knew all the tactics and tricks. He could do it with his eyes closed.

"Are you ready, Woolie?!"

"Wool!!"

A subtle bond formed between Raiden and Woolie, as they both got ready to fight together.

Seeing their strong bond, a rare look of appreciation appeared in her eyes as she started the battle.

"Attackk!!"

The Wolves needed no invitation, as all howled and before spamming a bunch of wind blades at both Woolie and Raiden.

Seeing those fast wind blades, Raiden had no chance to think as he dodged to the side, rolling on the ground pathetically. Woolie, on the other hand, dodged quite easily, finding it amusing as the wind blades sailed past him, slicing the tree behind him clean in half.

"Get close, use Bite!!" Ruby didn't give them a chance to rest, as 6 Wolves rushed out together, 4 attacking Woolie, 2 on Raiden, who tried to scramble out of the way.

This was not the fight he envisioned. How could he fight like this?! This was definitely a way to commit suicide!!

Thinking so, he started running without thinking, in a different direction from Woolie.

Looking at Raiden, who was busy running away, while Woolie fought the 3 wolves alone, Ruby shook her head. She felt disappointed. They were never meant to fight individually.

The other two stood in the distance and kept firing wind blades at both, covering their teammates.

Raiden, who was a human, wasn't as fast as the Wolves, and he soon found himself cornered against a tree as two wolves surrounded him from both sides, growling.

"Awooo!!" They opened their jaw and let loose a volley of wind blades at Raiden, who closed his eyes in fear. Ruby, seeing this, got ready to save him, but soon stopped in her tracks as she saw the next scene.

Raiden, who kept his eyes closed, never felt the anticipated pain in his body, and slowly opened his eyes only to find Woolie, who was standing in front of him.

The little guy, seeing danger, rushed without thinking, and he suffered wounds in the process from the wolves surrounding him.

Ignoring all that, he quickly arrived in front of Raiden, just in time to shield Raiden using his own body without any moves.

"Woolie~" What are you doing, dumb human?! Stand behind Woolie, I'll protect you!!

Looking at the little guy in front of him, who used his own body to shield him from harm, Raiden felt ashamed.

SLAP!!

He forcefully slapped both his cheeks before looking ahead once again, his eyes now filled with confidence.

"I am sorry, Woolie, it's my fault. I'll rely on you more from now on! So let me ask once again, are you ready?!!"

"Woolie~!!" A burst of violet thunder emerged from Woolie, surrounding him as Raiden felt the bond between them resonate once again.

It was time for round two, bitches!!
