"Nott badd, but you need much moree improvement~" Ruby slithered closer, as she spoke to Raiden and Woolie, who were both sitting on the ground, covered in blood, dust and grime. After finishing that fight, they were only given 15 minutes of rest.
And after that, the rest of the afternoon was hell for Raiden. He didn't know who he was, where he was, or what he was doing. He was thrown into endless battles along with Woolie against all sorts of Terra Beasts, barely able to rest even for a moment.
By the time evening rolled by, even the mighty Woolie felt tired. But the results of the training were undeniable. Raiden knew how to protect himself now, and the connection between both Raiden and Woolie felt stronger than ever before.
Raiden put his hand on top of Woolie's head, calling out softly.
"System, show me the status."
{Woolie, The Thunder Sheep}
{Rank: Bronze}
Description: Woolie, The Thunder Sheep, is a variant of Woolie, The Farm Sheep. It uses its fleece to protect itself from danger, and it likes to shed its fleece once a week. It starts to feel uncomfortable if it doesn't. This one contains the bloodline of Fenrir, The God-Killer.
{Potential: B Tier (Reached Full Potential)}
{Bloodline: 0.10 % Fenrir, The God-Killer}
{Current Moves: Tackle, Quick Attack, Nuzzle, Cotton Guard, Discharge, Thunder Shock, Volt Tackle, Horn Attack, Minimize}
{Do you want to upgrade its potential?}
He looked at the current potential ranking with a smile on his face. With steady efforts, his Woolie had finally reached Rank B, which is the natural limit of Woolie's potential. Without any other extraordinary chances, he would be stuck at this potential for the rest of his life and end up becoming average.
Thankfully, he was a person with a cheat code as well, as his system let him break all the natural limits imposed upon Woolie's talents.
Now all that was left to see was how high he could go!!
-------------------------
Two days later, Raiden was able to finish his first shearing of wool from his Woolies. With his Woolie once again now sitting on top of his head, he set off towards the market to fulfil the first part of the contract.
After claiming another taxi to reach the shop, Raiden once again found himself in front of the same shop from which he got his first pot of gold.
"This won't do, taking taxis every time is not convenient. I need to get a personal vehicle soon. Maybe Woolie can... " Raiden eyed Woolie, wondering how he would look riding a sheep.
Woolie, on the other hand, felt malice directed at him on top of Raiden's head.
"Woolie!!" (⊙_⊙)?!
'What is this sinister human thinking once again?!'
Raiden shook his head to clear all his thoughts. He had no money to get anything anyway. No point thinking about it right now. With that, Raiden started walking towards the shop.
The bell chimed from the top of the door as Raiden entered confidently.
"Sister Sarah!! I am here with the supplies!!"
"Woolie~" ヽ(≧□≦)ノ
Sarah, who was pacing behind the counter, snapped her head at him in happiness as soon as she heard the voice.
"Finally!! What took you so long?!" She snapped, clearly feeling impatient. She had already bet all the fortune she had on this. This had left her feeling restless all week.
Raiden looked at the time before looking up at Sarah once again.
"It's only 9 in the morning though—"
"And I've been waiting since last night!! Alright, enough talk, give me the stuff." Sarah was clearly feeling impatient.
Raiden felt it was wiser to give this angry woman what she wanted.
Just as he extended his hand to hand over his bag, she snatched it directly from his hands, and opened it up before picking up some wool and putting it on her face, taking a deep inhale.
"Oh yeah~ That's the stuff." Raiden felt she looked very much like a drug addict, and if he didn't know any better, he would have thought he had sold something else to her, not just Wool.
Ignoring his wandering thoughts, he handed her a separate bag.
"The one you are holding has 40 Kgs of Fine Quality Wool. This is Ultra Fine Quality Wool, 4 Kgs. Next week, I'll get you all Ultra Fine Quality Wool as promised."
Hearing this, a smile appeared on her face as she pushed her glasses up. "Alright, that is 5,500 Credits for Fine Quality, so 220,000 Credits for 40 Kgs in total. And for this Ultra Fine Quality, considering it's a variant one, I'll take it as 8,300 Credits, 33,200 Credits in total. All in all, I'll give you 253,200 Credits. You still have around 100,000 Credits to repay."
Raiden's heart ached after hearing this. He knew he already received the payment. But it still felt like he was losing money somehow. His thoughts started wandering once again, but he was brought back to the land of the living by Woolie, who started pulling his hair.
Feeling speechless, he picked up the naughty rascal and put him on the counter.
"Will this be enough to get your business on track once again?" Raiden heard all about her circumstances from her the last time he came here. He didn't care about the blockade thing and felt it was a really shitty move. He had already decided to do the best he could to support her, as she had supported him by giving him his first pot of gold.
"Yes. This is more than enough. I still have one friend whom I can call in for the favour. I'll use him to get my initial client and pick up my business once again. Don't worry! Next time you'll see me, I'll be the rich, and you'll be rich alongside me!!" Sarah clearly seemed excited by her own words, her eyes sparkling with life once again. She had normal-quality materials, but she was lacking Ultra Fine Quality or even Fine Quality to target those rich customers.
Even the best cook can't cook without ingredients and spices. What, British food is made without spices, you say? She didn't consider that food at all.
"That's great! I am very happy for you!! No, scratch that, I am very happy for us!!" Raiden exclaimed. He swore to do his best he could to help her.
After talking for some time, Raiden bid her farewell as he started walking towards the school.
Miss Yuna had sent a message, asking him to drop by, saying she had to talk about something important. So he made his way towards her, wondering what that witch wanted.
Whatever it was, he was sure it would be a hell lot of trouble.
