Xian didn't protest as the stranger called a cab and opened the door for him. It wasn't like he had anything better to do, and he could delay the night till he figured out where to pass the night.
"You're going back into your head again," The stranger mused.
Xian blushed, looking briefly at him. "I don't even know your name. Or what you want from me," he mused. "What if you're a serial killer?"
"First, you can call me Felix. And don't you think it's too late to be worried about me being a serial killer?" he laughed at that. "You're so adorable."
"Felix. My name is Xian. I…uh…there's nothing more to say about me I guess."
A disturbing news came on the radio. The driver was about to change the station when Xian asked him to leave and raise the volume a bit.
'Many unclaimed omegas have gone missing in the city with ten reports this week alone. The government urges unclaimed omegas to enroll into the protection program in order to keep them safe. It's also important that they take safe measures to keep them from harm's way. The government will be sure to put an end to this…'
Xian tuned the voice out, his eyes instinctively going to the driver and then to Felix who was looking at him with concern.
"Are you unclaimed?" Felix asked in a soft voice. "Don't worry I'll keep you safe for the night, and take you home myself after we're done drinking."
Xian didn't know how to tell him that he didn't even have a home to go back to. "That's fine."
It didn't look fine at all to Felix. But for the most part, he didn't know why he was concerned for the little guy. From the moment he saw him the elevator and even now.
Maybe it was the vulnerability in his eyes, that puppy look that screamed 'please take care of me'.
The bar they pulled up at had a very different vibe from the club Xian had met the alpha at. This one was five-star, high end, expensive, and very elite. He knew they had to be at the high end part of the city.
Felix came out quickly from the cab and opened the door. He held out a hand to Xian. "Let's have a memorable night. Shall we?"
Xian put his hand in Felix's, and let the taller man help him out of the car.
"We'll make a stop at the boutique over there." Felix pointed at the building beside the bar. "We both need a change of clothes."
Xian took no offense because he already knew he was unfit to enter just an elite place. He wouldn't even be surprised if he got mistaken for one of the bartenders.
No—they were dressed even better than he was.
The attendant at the boutique greeted Felix with a smile that quickly turned sour when she saw Xian standing beside him.
"Casual clothes, please. Nothing too flashy. Just enough to blend into a crowd." Felix gave instructions and she got to work.
He picked clothes up with a level of precision that Xian admired.
"Go change into this," he gave Xian a pair of pants and shirt. "The color will be perfect for you."
And true enough the warm colors of the clothes made Xian's hazel eyes stand out. Felix looked proud when he saw Xian.
For himself he got all black clothes, and when Xian asked he said it was a better disguise. Felix gave the attendant an address they could send the rest of the clothes he bought after paying.
"I'll pay you back," Xian said as they left the boutique. "But it might take some time."
Felix laughed, brushing it off. "Just consider this entire night my treat. You don't have to worry about paying me back or splitting the bill. I just want you to have fun and clear your mind."
"Do you go around helping strangers clear their heads?" Xian asked.
Felix opened the door to the private area when they entered the club, he held it for Xian. "Nope, just you," he finally answered when they settled in.
Xian looked around, it was just in the private room. That was when Felix finally pulled off his cap, and the nose mask with the sunglasses.
Xian had to blink severally to assure himself that the man in front of him was real, and not a perfect doll. He didn't think boys could look this beautiful. His eyes were a very soft brown, but the red hair made them shine out even more.
"I can take a picture for you," Felix teased. "It'll last longer."
Xian blushed hard and looked away. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare like that."
"It's fine. I'm used to being looked at all the time, it comes with the job." he signaled to the waiter that came in and ordered their drinks.
They were only a couple bottles in but Xian was already pink as a peach. He laughed at whatever Felix said.
"How are you unclaimed anyway?" Felix said. "You're too pretty, it's hard to believe no alpha has claimed you as theirs."
Xian searched his head for an answer. "Well, the only ones I ever meet just want to take advantage of me. I'd rather be unclaimed than let myself get bound to someone that just wants to use me as a plaything. I might be an omega but I want to be cherished too"
After all, was it not everyone in his life ever did? Use him and then dump him.
Felix pushed Xian's hair out of his face, wondering how anyone could have the heart to hurt someone as fragile as him.
"I know that feeling all too well. Everyone sees you like a walking product, something to profit off." He finished his whiskey and poured himself another. "At first it was great, I'd never got that much attention in my life. Then I realized quickly that what they liked was the image they projected onto me."
Xian tilted his head, studying Felix's face. "If I had someone like you, I'd cherish them forever." He'd blame the alcohol later for letting his finger wander and putting it on Felix's cheeks. "You're kind and pretty. That's a killer combo."
Felix laughed at that. "My manager will say you're very wrong. He thinks I'm just a pushover. Personally, I just think he's a dick."
"Well…he's wrong. You helped me back there even though you didn't have to. And now you're trying to cheer me up…" Xian remembered his mum and living situation. His mood immediately turned sour.
It made his companion alarmed. "You can tell me what happened. Sometimes telling someone makes you feel relieved. It doesn't work for me but people usually say they feel better after talking to me."
"My sister is sick," Xian started quietly. "I needed money to pay for her surgery. I found that I'd matched on this dating app to an alpha that wanted an omega to have…" His cheeks flushed a deep pink as he narrated what happened. Even told him about his mum and how he had no place left to go.
"Come home with me," Felix offered. "It's a big house and I stay alone."
That sobered Xian up for a bit. "You can't invite strangers into your home. What if I'm a…" he raised his hand. "What if I'm a thief?"
Felix laughed and brought his hand. "A thief that steals hearts? I don't mind my heart getting stolen."
Xian felt shy. He poured himself a generous amount of alcohol and chugged it down. He found Felix attractive for sure, but he couldn't let his guard down. Pretty boys like him were always trouble.
Unable to hold his weight he started to fall out from his seat.
Felix helped him lie down on the couch and put his head on his thighs. "You look even prettier from up here." He played with Xian's hair. "I mean what I said about moving in with me. I need the company and you need a place to stay. It works perfectly for the both of us. You'll get your own room and I'll provide everything you need."
"That'll be freeloading, I can't do that," Xian mumbled. He hated the idea of using someone the way others did him. Besides, they just met.
Felix was absentminded when he used his fingers to massage Xian's scalp which earned him a whimper from Xian.
The sound shot blood straight to Felix's dick. He didn't like to define his sexuality but this was the first time a fellow man was getting that kind of reaction out of him.
"I didn't mean to do that," Xian rushed to explain. "I think it's the alcohol. It's making me hot all over."
Felix raised Xian's head slightly and readjusted his pants. "Then I have a proposal for you. Pretend to be my boyfriend for a month."
DING!
