Everything around Felix faded into a blur, his heartbeat racing against his ribcage. He rubbed the bracelet between his fingers wondering where Xian could've gone.
He knew the omega had no home to go back to. He'd basically tossed him into the street after reassuring him that he'd put a roof over his head. What kind of person had he become?
Pulling out his phone and dialled a number that wasn't stored on the device. It rang for a couple seconds before a gruff voice on the other end of the call came true.
"Don't tell me I need to come rescue you again."
Felix shook his head, forgetting that the other person could not see him. "I need your help, my friend is missing."
There was a beat of silence.
"Friend?"
Felix bit his bottom lip. "It's this guy I met. Let me not bore you with the details." Then he narrated everything that happened and how he'd found his bracelet on the floor. "If you'll please check the cameras or anything. I need to know if he's safe."
