Laurel thought for a while. "You are right, we need to be in the same place because of the medication. But for using your hideout as plan B, are you sure you want that?"
Laurel asked, she didn't want to appear greedy, even if the offer was so tempting.
"Yes, absolutely." His honey brown eyes squinted a little.
"Then, I'm afraid you can't back out of it anymore, that was the only chance you got," Laurel replied with a polite smile.
Chris's lips slightly pulled up into a smirk. "I'm all yours now."
The way he said it made something in Laurel's chest flutter.
Laurel couldn't help but meet his gaze, it was like she was getting drawn into the depths of his eyes.
She quickly averted her gaze, clearing her throat.
Chris turned around. "Close them." He ordered.
Sweat trickled down his temples. His body swayed slightly, and Laurel quickly rushed to his side.
"Are you okay?" She asked with concern evident in her voice.
Chris nodded, trying to move away from her. "I'm fine."
