While picking and folding each of the clothes, Gloria noticed her trembling hands.
The wide grin on her face made the wrinkles on her face deepen more than usual.
"Listen child,you should go home now."she said. Without hesitation, Estadey stopped folding the clothes and hurriedly left the house. "My,my...she's starting to get aware of it." Gloria calmly thought.
The house remained silent as if nobody was there. After a while, the movement of wood sliding off a smooth surface fogged the eerie silence.
A small table slid towards Gloria, on it rested a man's chopped off hand.
"Not yet,just a little longer. "She said. The small table disappeared and appeared in the dark corner of her room.
On her way back ,Estadey tried to settle her thoughts. "Maybe I shouldn't visit Aunt for a few days. "She said.
She stopped in her tracks and frowned.
"No,what if she suddenly goes into labor and her baby dies ." she worriedly thought.
After an hour long walk back to the inner parts of the village ,she decided not to visit Gloria for some days.
Walking past people and greeting familiar faces. Estadey was called out to,by a child.
"Hello Estadey."he greeted. A small boy with short brown hair, big beautiful honey brown eyes and an angelic smile.
"Since I've be calling you,having stress again?"he questioned her while folding his arms and putting on a serious expression.
She slightly arched a brow then fully faced the boy.
"And what does an eleven year old know about stress?"she softly asked.
"A lot ,like I'm the best and you're supposed to follow advice from the best."Sammy proudly stated. "Naughty aren't you ?" she chuckled while ruffling his hair.
His dimples sunk deeper in his cheeks when he laughed. "By the way I came here to tell you that granny Mina was in need of you."he informed her. "Lead the way then."She said.
"I'm busy at the moment, sorry but you should go on your own. "he said.
"What do you mean on my own....where to exactly?" Estadey held him back before he made a run for it.
"I have to deal with some manly business. "Sammy nervously said while struggling out of her hold. "Sammy!...where."She firmly said and made sure to stress the word where.
"Just meeting friends near the well because it's being newly built and I want to help."he said annoyingly pouting at his confession.
"It's not like I was going to stop you,just be careful. "She said.
"By the way,where's granny Mina ?"she asked.
"At work,now if you'll excuse me."he said while running away with his voice fading in a distance. The thought of Mina being at the homage immediately came to mind.
The homage was across the road but a little distance away from the busy market place in order to prevent the children from entering or getting lost in the market.
