Silas , upon realizing the so called 'Deity' didnt even give him a handbook or a tutorial , decided he was smart enough to figure out everything by himself.
"In anime they usualy scream chants... FIREBALL!..." Silence followed upon the chant
"Huh... So this isnt your regural isekai world... I'd normally think i had no profficiency in magic but i can definitely feel some energy within me , however im not really sure if its mana or something like that..." Silas got up from the petal-filled ground and stretched , looking into the distance , spotting a very distant forest
"Thats a forest... Perhaps i should go that way? Ussualy medieval villages ought to be in dense forests like those , especially ones that can use magic , since it guarantees plenty resources... Damn , im not sure if i should head there." Silas wasnt particularly dumb. he was just an introvert which prevented him from getting good grades , since he didnt feel liek talking in front of so many classmates.
"Oh , right , i forgot the most cliche thing in isekai... System!.... Still nothing , huh? Fair enough then"
And so , Silas began walking to the dense yet beautiful forest far away
2 Hours later , he finally arrived. the forest was actualy very big from close up.
"Now that i think about it , the sun hasnt completely set since i came here... Is this earth somehow bigger or does it just spin slower?... Tsk , if only that Deity had explained how this world works i wouldnt be con-FUSED ALL THE TIME!... Ugh , i needa relax for now..."
As Silas walked into the forest , he felt a slight chill coming from deep inside...
He kept walking and walking until...
"Is that... A village? Woah , thats insane luck. The gate is open and anyone enters and leaves as they please... Okay i guess" Silas said as he began walking up to the guard guarding the gate
"Excuse me?" Said silas
"Yes?" Said a well built guard in a tired tone.
"Is there an entrance fee for this village of sorts?"
"No , there is not. Only trade-oriented Towns and villages have entrance fees"
"Oh , well thats great , thank you for the help" Silas said as he walked in and waved , the guard waving back.
The town seemed to be mostly a commercial one , as they were more shops than houses. The buildings seemed to be from the iron age , or so. Silas , after aimlessly walking around , found the place any reincranator would go to first , a adventurers guild.
After conteplating with his introvert-self if he should go in , he gained courage and went inside. He instantly walked over to the reception , where a beautiful girl around Silas's age worked.
"Hello?" Silas said
"hm? Oh , welcome to the Adventurer's Guild! What would you like to do?"
"Uh... Im from very far away , so could you please explain to me how magic and such works? and also the most important parts."
"I apologize but , teachings such as 'introduction to magic' and 'history' both cost 1 silver coin each. I can guess you also do not have a license , which is required for well paying tasks? For your info , the licence costs 4 silver coins" The girl said with a slightly sad look
"Ah...I see... So , what can i do to make money then?" Silas asked with a dissapointed yet understanding look
"Well , Lower tier jobs Can be accepted by anyone , no matter their age , status or power. Those said tasks include things clean up , babysitting and things like that."
"I see" Said Silas , with his excitement from before resurfacing. "How can i accept those tasks? And where can i choose them?"
"See that bulletin board?" She pointed to a big bulleting board filled with small pieces of paper that had the task requirements and rewards on them "that board is specially made for lower tier tasks , you can pick one , come here and we will scan the paper , signaling an acceptance to the person who issued the task" Said the girl
"Oh , thats more convenient that i expected. Alright , one second , i'll go and pick one" Said Silas
"Okay~" Said the girl
Silas walked to the bulleting board began looking through quests.
"Cleaning? not my styleee... Babysitting? not that either... Oh , mathematics teaching , thats good enough , my major was math after all"
Silas took the small paper and walked back to the receptionist. "Alrighty , i picked this one"
"I see , math's teachings , huh? not many people know math , you must be pretty smart." *The girl said as she scanned the paper* "Whats your name?"
"Oh , its Silas"
The girl inputted Silas's name on the paper using a keyboard made from magic and handed it back to him "Alright , the person who issued the task has been notified about it's acceptance." The girl handed Silas a map that showed his current location and the tasks location using magic "Im guessing you dont know your way around so here. When you get to the location , just hand the task to the issuer and you can begin your teaching. Good luck!"
"Thank you" Said Silas as he waved and walked out of the adventurer's guild.
"Alright , time to finally begin my isekai life!" Silas said as he looked at the map , and so , he began walking.....
