Lia's eyes widened as she stared at the woman standing before her, a mix of emotions swirling in her mind. Ama, her mom, the woman who had abandoned her three years ago without a word, was now standing in her hospital room, tears streaming down her face.
"Lia, my baby, I'm so sorry," Ama said, her voice shaking as she reached out to touch Lia's hand.
Lia pulled her hand away, her mind racing with questions and emotions. Who was this woman, really? And why was she pretending to care now?
"Who are you?" Lia asked, her voice firm, trying to keep her emotions in check.
Ama's face fell, and she took a step back, pain etched on her face. "Lia, I'm your mom. I know I left you, and I'm so sorry. I had to, baby. I had my reasons."
Lia laughed, a cold, hard sound. "Reasons? You had reasons to leave me? To abandon me?"
Ama nodded, tears streaming down her face. "Yes, Lia. I was working undercover, trying to bring down a powerful organization. I had to leave you to protect you."
Lia's mind was spinning. Undercover? What kind of mom leaves her child to work undercover? And what kind of organization was so powerful that it required her mom to abandon her?
"I don't believe you," Lia said, her voice shaking with anger. "You were just tired of being a mom, tired of taking care of me. You were just a selfish, selfish person."
Ama's face crumbled, and she fell to her knees beside Lia's hospital bed. "Lia, please, I know I was wrong. I was wrong to leave you, but I did it for you, for us. I wanted to give you a better life."
Lia's anger boiled over, and she sat up in bed, her eyes blazing. "A better life? You think this is a better life? You think abandoning me for three years is a better life?"
Ama shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "No, Lia. I know I messed up. But I'm back now, and I want to make it right. I want to be your mom again."
Lia laughed, a cold, hard sound. "You're too late. I'm not a little girl anymore. I don't need a mom like you."
Ama's face fell, and she stood up, her eyes red-rimmed from crying. "I understand, Lia. I don't blame you for feeling that way. But I want you to know that I'll be here for you, whenever you're ready to talk, whenever you're ready to listen."
Lia turned away, her back to Ama, her heart heavy with emotions. She didn't know what she wanted, didn't know what she felt. All she knew was that she needed some time, some space, to process everything.
Ama nodded, understanding in her eyes, and turned to leave. "I'll be here, Lia. Whenever you're ready."
As the door closed behind Ama, Lia let out a sob, tears streaming down her face. She was so angry, so hurt, so confused. She didn't know what to do, didn't know what to feel.
But one thing was for sure, she needed to get out of there, needed to get away from the hospital, from Ama, from everything.
Lia threw off the covers and got out of bed, her legs shaking beneath her. She grabbed her clothes and started to get dressed, her mind racing with thoughts of escape, of freedom.
She was Lia Elu, and she was ready to take control of her life, ready to face whatever came next.
As she walked out of the hospital, Lia felt a sense of determination wash over her. She was done being a victim, done being hurt. She was ready to take charge, ready to fight.
And Ama, if she thought she could just w walk back into Lia's life and everything would be okay, she was wrong. Lia was not the same little girl she had left behind.
Lia was a force to be reckoned with, and she was ready to take on the world.
The sun was shining bright as Lia stepped out of the hospital, a sense of freedom washing over her. She took a deep breath, feeling the cool air fill her lungs, and smiled.
She was Lia Elu, and she was ready for whatever came next.
Lia walked out of the hospital, her mind racing with emotions. She had just confronted Ama, her mom, who had abandoned her three years ago.
As she hailed a taxi, Lia's thoughts were a jumble of anger, hurt, and confusion. Why had Ama left her? Why had she come back now?
The taxi pulled up, and Lia got in, giving the driver an address. As they drove, Lia's mind was a whirlwind of emotions.
She thought back to her childhood, to the memories she had of Ama. She remembered happy times, times when Ama was there for her, supporting her, loving her.
But those memories were overshadowed by the pain of abandonment. Lia remembered the day Ama left, the feeling of being abandoned, of being left behind.
The taxi stopped in front of Lia's apartment, and she got out, paying the driver. As she walked up to her door, she felt a sense of determination.
She was Lia , and she was strong. She was a survivor, and she was ready to take control of her life.
As she opened the door to her apartment, Lia felt a sense of peace wash over her. She was home, and she was safe.
But as she looked around, she saw Ama sitting on her couch, a look of determination on her face.
"Lia," Ama said, standing up. "We need to talk."
Lia's heart skipped a beat. She was not ready for this, not yet.
But as she looked at Ama, she knew she had to be strong. She had to be ready.
"I'm listening," Lia said, her voice firm.
Ama nodded, a small smile on her face. "I'm glad," she said. "Because I have a lot to tell you."
Sorry most of you guys should be confused on how it was now Lia instead of Liya am so sorry, so just keep up cuz her mom usually calls her Liya and we couldn't just erase the name but now the real Lia is back she prefers to be who she's meant to be and she was called Liya from the combination of her normal name and her surname don't get it all wrong. my apologies... thanks so much for keeping up with my chapters
