Chapter 7 - Rustfang Mountain War (3)

*SPLASH*

The Lv. 5 enemy goblin fell in one single strike.

This was the signal Gurk needed to charge.

His wooden stick was crudely made, but it was sturdy. He quickly engaged with a Lv. 6 Fire Tribe Goblin, Gobnir taking the other one on.

His opponent had a leather armour, likely made from wolf skin. His weapon, a small dagger, seemed sharp.

Gurk growled, but he knew that getting impatient would get him killed. This was a battlefield, not a mindless spar against an untrained youngling like Gobnir. It was a real fight to the death.

His experience played a good role at calming his wilderness instincts [E].

His opponent was not so calm, and rushed at him straight away. He rushed without good form, his dagger following a simple, straight trajectory towards his throat.

Side-stepping, Gurk dodged the stab with ease. Despite being on the same level, his agility was obviously higher. Not by one or two points, but at least three points. This was a massive difference, one born from a spirit blessing and training.

His small, greyish foot hit the enemy goblin's knee in an awkward position, causing his opponent to fall on the ground. His guard broken, Gurk thrust his sword in a clean path, knocking out the enemy goblin.

One, two, or three strikes were not enough. Four strikes later, however, the goblin stopped twitching.

He had won the fight.

[You have killed [Lv. 6 Fire Wolf Tribe Goblin]. You have gained 30 EXP]

It was time to grind experience.

Turning around, he could see the Lv. 6 Goblin struggling with Gobnir. Despite his lack of experience, Gobnir possessed immense strength for his level. With the White Lion Blessing on top of that, he was a brute.

There were cuts on his torso, but other than that, it was a stalemate.

With Gurk stealthily sneaking behind the Fire Wolf Tribe goblin, the duel ended in seconds. Gurk crippled his opponent by thrusting his wooden stick in its back. Gobnir took the opportunity to brawl the goblin to the ground.

Seconds later, a familiar voice entered his ears.

[You have killed [Lv. 6 Fire Wolf Tribe Goblin]. You have gained 30 EXP]

The struggle ended in silence. Heavy breathes, but that was it.

They had won, without a single casualty.

[Tyreuth - Lv. 4 (↑) Goblin]

[Gobnir – Lv. 6 (↑) Goblin]

[Pereuth – Lv. 12 Goblin Warrior]

[Gurk – Lv. 6 Goblin]

He was not the only one growing from the fight.

Aeruth, Tyreuth and Gobnir all had levelled up.

Pereuth had a satisfied grin on his face. This was a massive success.

Gurk did not stop there.

"Wolf jackets…Good for defence. good loot!"

Surprise effect, difference in attributes and numbers…They all contributed to this flawless victory. Additionally, their biggest weakness, their lack of good equipment, was solved in this fight.

[You have acquired Wolf Leather Armour [E]]

[Wolf Leather Armour [E]

Description: A crude armour made from wolf leather. Although it has a small size, it is a perfect fit for average goblins

Effect: Protection (3) on body]

[Stone Dagger [E]

A crude dagger made of a sturdy stick and polished, sharp rock

Gobnir, Aeruth and Tyreuth both received similar gear. After all, there were four well-equipped goblins dead, and four of them lacking gear. Pereuth already had similar items on him.

"Good, let's rest in the night", Pereuth ordered, "Tomorrow, we go to the wolf den. Many Fire wolf tribe goblin hunters there according to Grunty"
