Nox stepped off the ship onto the dock, the sky was cloudy, but the things he saw ahead of the dock… The terrifying, giant scenery beyond the dock began to make Nox's heartbeat speed up. Huge walls… And the tops of the walls, as if someone could ever climb them, were covered with spikes… At the entrance of these giant walls, dozens of guards were waiting. Nox slowly walked into the walls in a line with the other prisoners, and inside, there were more large walls, but this time they were separated into sections. Nox was still following the line when suddenly the guards stopped it. They took only Nox out of the line, and with the guidance of two guards, Nox entered a special room, a small yet clearly important room from the outside… Inside was someone waiting with a pen in hand… This person was wearing a lab coat and glasses. She was a woman, mature and beautiful… After seeing Nox enter, she looked at him and said, "Welcome, prisoner… Sit there so we can put on your Anti-Shinyubi bracelet." and pointed at the chair next to her. Nox didn't understand what was happening, but he knew he needed to do as told, so he slowly sat on the chair.
He waited in the chair for about two minutes, and during this time the woman in the coat first examined Nox's wrist, then walked over to a desk-like table with a bracelet in hand, did a few things with the bracelet, and then said, "Now it's ready." to herself, but aloud and clearly. Then she approached Nox, showed him the bracelet in her hand, and began to speak calmly, smiling, "This bracelet is designed to be worn once, meaning you can't take it off after it's on, so stay still so it doesn't bother you throughout your sentence… Maybe even until you die…" she said. Nox wasn't very scared, but he was still a bit frightened… He was far from his home, even his continent, in a place he didn't know… And this was a prison, and the thought that he might stay here until he died naturally caused Nox to feel a bit of fear. He swallowed nervously and extended his left arm toward the woman. The woman held Nox's arm with one hand, and with the other carefully placed the bracelet on. Afterward, she held up a paper to Nox and said, "Read this sincerely, the bracelet will activate. Don't pretend not to read it or try to avoid reading it sincerely, because you won't leave here until you succeed, and if necessary, we'll resort to force." Nox sighed irritably first, then read the words on the paper, "Mundare." and suddenly the bracelet tightened, and a few seconds later it literally stuck to Nox's wrist, not moving at all… "Ah." Nox said at that moment, it must have genuinely hurt. After the bracelet stuck, the woman took a deep breath, smiled, and began speaking, "Everything is ready. Nox agreed with her words, but they still made him angry, and just as he opened his mouth, before he even understood what was happening, his eyes closed.
WHEN NOX OPENED HIS EYES
Nox opened his eyes, he was on a bed that was a bit hard and not very comfortable. Sounds were coming from all around him, some laughing, some calmly talking… Nox slowly sat up and turned his head toward where the laughter came from, seeing a few men talking and laughing about something. On the other side, there were more men. Nox was in a prison room, and as he looked around, he saw the door and on the wall above it was written "N Region, Room 10." This room wasn't too gloomy; there were a few cabin toilets and a few tables. As Nox looked around trying to understand the room and the people inside it, he noticed something—above him. Yes, the bed he was on was a bunk bed, and snoring was coming from the top bunk. Nox was annoyed by the snoring and to see who was above him, he first got out of bed, then stepped onto the ladder and looked at the person. The person he saw was most likely only a year or two older than Nox. He appeared tall just by looking at him, and his feet were already pressed against the iron at the end of the bed. Nox stared at the young man for a few seconds, then got angry and shouted, "Hey… Hey… Stop snoring, man!" Some of the others looked at Nox for a few seconds, then continued doing whatever they were doing without caring.
The young man on the bed slowly opened his eyes, and seeing the scary face in front of him, he couldn't hold himself and burst into laughter. Then he said, "Dude, are you a clown…? You're doing a good job at it!" His eyes were watery from laughing… Nox got even angrier at that, prepared himself, and tried to throw a punch. Just as he swung his fist toward the young man, the young man suddenly sat up and blocked Nox's punch with his palm, then grabbed it and began squeezing Nox's clenched fist… What kind of strength was this…? What kind of human could have such strength…!? Nox began to writhe in pain, his face showing it clearly, holding back from screaming and gritting his teeth. Meanwhile, the young man was also struggling to hold back… from laughing at Nox's ridiculous expression. The young man's eyes then caught the bracelet on Nox's left wrist. After seeing it, he smiled and spoke, "I'm Mare, dude… Calm down a bit, by the way… You're really funny…!" Nox couldn't hold himself against this annoyance, but he was also in pain, so he gave up, "Let go of my hand already." he said, his voice revealing his pain. After that, Mare released Nox's fist and smiled. "What's your name?" Mare asked while smiling, looking directly at Nox… Meanwhile, Nox had zoned out, not hearing Mare's question, still staring blankly. About 20 seconds passed before Mare took a deep breath, waved his hand in front of Nox's face, and said, "Hey, what's wrong?" After this, Nox returned to himself and asked Mare, "What did you say?" Mare repeated, "I asked your name earlier, but I guess you were thinking about something important." Nox replied, "Oh… Right… My name is Nox."
"Anyway, I need to clear my head." Nox said in a dull tone. Mare didn't say anything, and Nox lay down on the lower bunk. Meanwhile, Mare lay back on his bed and within a few seconds, started snoring again. Nox was annoyed again, but he had more important things to think about. He closed his eyes and began to think… "His brother… This family don't leaves me alone… The Maximus family… But how will I get out of here…? Should I give up? Is everything over here, am I just supposed to wait to die now? Hah, how could I even think of escaping…? That bastard was a noble anyway, so getting out of here is even more impossible…" Nox's emotions were deeply mixed as he thought—sadness, anger, and helplessness all at once… Was everything truly over here…? Or was everything just beginning?
