I expected Joseph to be thrilled about the pregnancy news. What caught me off guard were the intense emotions flooding through both me and my wolf when we discovered I was carrying his child. A fierce possessiveness consumed me completely. I will be the one to bear his pups. Me alone. He belongs to me. Only to me.
Joseph didn't seem bothered by my clingy behavior or my wolf's desperate need for constant contact. Maybe that's exactly why we're destined mates. If anything, he appeared satisfied when my wolf insisted on marking him repeatedly through the night and early morning hours. She only settled down once our combined scent matched his intensity, and his scent covered us equally. Now everyone will know without question that he's mine. At least that's how my wolf sees things.
