Lara's POV
Austin kisses me with the intensity of a man fighting for survival, as though I hold the very breath he needs to live. Even in his gentleness, there's an undeniable dominance that demands my complete surrender. And how could I possibly resist? He's everything I never dared to hope for, absolutely perfect in every way that matters.
"You realize this is completely reckless, don't you?" I whisper when he finally pulls away, our foreheads touching as we both struggle to catch our breath.
"Not half as reckless as you walking away from me and pretending this bond doesn't exist. I'll figure something out, Lara. The Moon Goddess chose you for me, and I'm not about to reject her gift," he responds with unwavering determination.
I can't help but laugh softly as I create some distance between us.
"So where exactly is your room located?" I ask, curiosity getting the better of me.
