Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 — Deep Cultivation and Careful Work

The Dimension Farm had started as a tiny cube, just 1 cubic decimeter—roughly the size of a fist.

If Xiao wanted to plant something as grand as peaches, he would need to expand the area at least a thousandfold. The energy and resources required to develop the farm were staggering.

Yet, as long as Xiao could siphon a fraction of the effort from others, he could profit enormously.

"Doing less and getting more… getting something for nothing—that's real life," Xiao mused.

Of course, he couldn't openly say this. His public motto had always been: "Attract investment. Everyone gets rich together."

Months passed, and the new blood fruit finally matured. Xiao picked a chaos-colored apple and held it in his hand.

The immense energy it radiated was undeniable. This fruit wasn't just a repository of blood power equivalent to more than 13,000 people—it also contained a space cube capable of infinite growth.

"Crack~~ Crack~~ Crack~~"

Xiao bit into the apple with large, eager bites. The blood power surged through him, coursing along his veins. His body and soul evolved rapidly, and his three core attributes immediately broke past a thousand.

This was the power of fourth-level blood inheritance. A simple fusion had elevated his basic physical potential to a level unimaginable for ordinary mortals.

The knowledge and abilities stored in the bloodline inheritance quickly integrated into Xiao's already noble blood, while the Dimension Farm itself seemed to respond, pulsating rhythmically with his heartbeat.

Listening to the rhythmic thrum of the farm, Xiao felt an irresistible drowsiness and fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

When he finally awoke, Xiao felt a strange intimacy with the farm—it was as if it had become an extension of his own body, responding without hesitation to his will.

His vision shifted, revealing the farm in an entirely new way:

Light, gentle energy flowed into the dimensional space, expanding it.

Heavy energy fell slowly, forming solid lands to support life.

Plants and animals grew rapidly under this rhythm, producing a harmonious hum. Blinking again, the world returned to normal—but Xiao still sensed a subtle difference.

"Look at the mountains—they're still mountains. Look at the water—they're still water… but somehow, they're not," he muttered, grinning.

The explosive force within him was the product of his bloodline's evolution. His current blood power was equivalent to 26,000 people compressed into one body.

"Why are dragons born strong? It's the blood and inheritance passed down through generations," Xiao thought.

Now he, too, possessed such power. Kings, princes, generals, ministers—all these roles across feudal dynasties were essentially different species, distinguished by the blood they carried.

But he was creating something new. His descendants would be born noble, born godlike, carrying his power and his blood.

Excited beyond measure, Xiao couldn't sleep that night. He pushed his energy and endurance to the max, determined to father a child.

Yet, he had underestimated the reproductive isolation brought about by Compound No. 5 and his supercharged bloodline. Even after increasing his vitality to five times that of a normal person, a week of repeated attempts had failed.

Xiao had no choice but to continue planting and harvesting concept crops that boosted fertility.

He found himself longing to enter the next Daluo Arena, ideally in a Western Fantasy World or Goblin World. After all, some races—goblins in particular—have no reproductive isolation, maximizing genetic replication.

Despite his efforts, Xiao couldn't yet conceive children with ordinary women. It forced him to question whether he had overreached—whether his descendants could even be born naturally.

He reflected on the wisdom of the ancients:

Tao gives birth to one, one gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things.

To create a new species, inheritance must survive three generations. Otherwise, hybrids like mules or ligers may exist—but they cannot propagate their own kind.

Xiao realized that the Xiao family might already be entering this stage. After numerous transformations, they were no longer strictly human—they were closer to legendary gods. Every newborn Xiao could inherit a small world through blood, capable of evolving into a full-scale world. This was nothing short of divine power.

As a god, reproductive isolation from mortals was inevitable, and even his demigod descendants might not reproduce. But for now, Xiao had no solution—he could only hope that future encounters in the Daluo Arena would bring unexpected breakthroughs.

Patience was required. There was no rush. He hadn't even fathered his first child, let alone grandchildren. That would be a matter for decades later.

After more than a month of intense cultivation and relentless work, both Xiao and his companions were physically and mentally exhausted, appearing haggard and worn.

Just as disappointment began to set in, a sudden pulse of joy surged through Xiao. His blood bond resonated, celebrating the birth of a new member of the Xiao family.

A fresh spark of hope—the promise of continuity—had arrived.
