"Ouch—this is really something!"
Xiao glanced at the document, and his eyes widened. The supplies listed far exceeded his original requirements. He couldn't help but knock his forehead a few times. After a brief moment of guilt, he prepared to push the door open and make his entrance.
For this kind of situation, coaxing wouldn't work. You had to assert control first and let the other person calm down before they could understand.
"Damn it—it's locked! Hanmei, you're pissing me off!"
Xiao knocked on the door, his voice echoing with mock frustration.
"If you don't open the door, I'll come in myself!"
With that, he raised his hand and, using the space cube as a conduit, sliced through the dimensional barriers for a brief moment, teleporting through time and space.
"Ah???"
Xi Hanmei's eyes nearly popped out of her head. She'd known Xiao had supernatural abilities, but witnessing them firsthand was both terrifying and awe-inspiring.
"Hanmei, this is the true power of the Dimension Farm! Once your own space grows enough for travel, you can do this too!" Xiao chirped, tumbling into Xi Hanmei's arms. His body shrank rapidly to around ten years old, and his expression radiated pure cuteness.
"You…??"
Xi Hanmei looked down at the small, almost childlike figure in her arms, bewildered yet amused.
"Change back!"
Xiao's youthful form was undeniably adorable, but it only amplified Xi Hanmei's inner guilt.
"No, no! I just like holding you like this!" Xiao squirmed coquettishly. Normally, she cared for him like a younger brother, but now, with him acting like a playful little girl, she couldn't bring herself to scold him.
"Are you seriously crazy? Change back immediately! Do you know you're committing a crime, you little rascal!"
Xi Hanmei fumed, but no anger would stick—her head hurt from the sheer ridiculousness of it all, and inwardly, she felt a strong urge to strangle him. Truly, he was a rogue.
…
Three days later, the weapons and troops finally arrived, and Xiao had the green light to conduct any military exercise he desired at the 15th Qiqi training ground.
Time passed, and Xiao and Xi Hanmei drove to the training ground with the official order documents in hand. Other women in the family wanted to accompany them, but the car was already full. Besides, they wouldn't be able to carry a bowl of water alone, so they stayed behind.
Passing through the checkpoints and entering the illegally constructed 15 Qiqi exercise ground, they were met with barbed wire, a lined-up formation of troops, and neatly arranged weapons and ammunition. Ten elite soldiers stood at attention.
A heavy, solemn atmosphere hung over the training ground. These were clearly battle-hardened veterans.
Xiao stepped out of the car, immediately sensing several eyes watching from the distant balcony shrouded in shadows.
Without exchanging unnecessary words, Xiao removed his coat, strode to the center of the training ground, and collected the supplies, leaving only the weapons and ammunition neatly arranged.
"Pick up your weapons, and attack me with everything you've got!"
He pointed at the soldiers, who stared back in stunned silence.
This was the first time they'd ever been ordered to shoot their commander. Hesitation flickered across their faces.
"Chief… is this even possible?"
The squad leader knew some background, but he had never heard of anyone ordering troops to fire on their own leader.
"Stick to your orders!" Xiao replied calmly in four words.
"Yes, sir!"
The squad leader's hesitation vanished. Years of strict training taught him one thing: no matter how outrageous an order was, it was to be carried out.
"Everyone, arm yourselves and be ready!"
"Yes, sir!"
The soldiers immediately took up their weapons, aimed at Xiao—but did not fire.
"Fire!" Xiao commanded again.
"PA~PA~PA~~"
The bullets roared, but none harmed him. Instead, they rippled harmlessly through the air and fell to the ground with clanging sounds.
"Impossible… absolutely impossible… is he a god?"
Shock rippled through the soldiers and onlookers alike. No carbon-based life form should withstand a hail of bullets, yet here Xiao stood, perfectly unharmed. Even his undergarments were barely dust-stained.
Xiao's faint smile curved at the corner of his lips. His newly upgraded superpowers had produced extraordinary results—he could now rival some of the Black Emperor's abilities.
"Go on! Why did you stop? Heavy weapons next! Don't just fire guns—where are the artillery shells?"
He gestured to the stacked shells.
"Today, your mission is to use up all the ammunition!"
"Push the mortars!"
The elite soldiers exchanged glances, a flicker of dissatisfaction crossing their eyes. Used to valuing every bullet, they had never been asked to lavishly expend artillery. Yet here, they had a whole battalion's worth of supplies at their disposal.

The sound of weapons and artillery echoed across the training ground for over two and a half hours. Soldiers were rotated multiple times. Even heroic tanks and newly developed Fighter Jet 5s were deployed to test Xiao's limits.
Yet Xiao simply stood in the center of the field, allowing every attack to strike him. He suffered no damage, not even a torn pant leg.
The crowd's astonishment faded into frustration, disbelief, and finally numb resignation. One fact could not be denied: Xiao now possessed the power to completely ignore the military might of an entire nation.
