The sun had barely risen when Nova Stuar's car pulled up in front of Bright's house. Despite having informed Bright of her arrival, the usual greeting was absent. The front yard was eerily silent. Nova stepped out of the car and entered the house on her own, her heart sinking as she crossed the threshold.
Inside, the living room was cluttered with large, packed suitcases. The sight made Nova's breath hitch. In the dining hall, Nora and Stofia sat in a heavy, suffocating silence, while Levis stood in the open kitchen, mechanically preparing breakfast.
When Nora and Stofia saw Nova, they scrambled to their feet. Nora hurried toward her, her face etched with exhaustion. "Princess Nova Stuar... please, come in. Have a seat," Nora whispered.
Nova nodded, her expression unreadable as she walked directly to the dining table and sat down. "Madam, you're here..." Stofia murmured, her voice sounding small and shocked.
