Sienna arrived at the Stuar mansion, his heart light after a morning of expensive shopping. As the driver parked, he gestured lazily toward the trunk. "Hey, bring all those bags inside immediately," he ordered, checking his reflection.
But as he approached the entrance, a chill ran down his spine. The perimeter, usually teeming with his hand-picked guards, was empty. The silence was deafening. He stepped into the main hall and froze.
The room was a fortress of steel. Dozens of Stuar bodyguards stood in a tight perimeter, their weapons drawn. In the center of the hall, Stuar sat like an ancient judge, his expression cold and unyielding. On the floor before him, Sienna's mother and father were forced onto their knees, shivering with terror as Albert and Rov pointed suppressed pistols at their heads.
"Dad! Mom!" Sienna screamed, his voice cracking. He lunged forward, but a sharp click stopped him in his tracks.
