Josh: That's a resume agreement you might want to go through it before sighing.
Resume agreement? I wondered while picking it up and skipping through it, it's more of rules and regulations, nothing out of the ordinary, so I filled up my personal details and checked it one more time before signing my name because my signature has become very important these days. I handed it back to him. He takes it and scales through it before dialing a number on his telephone, soon the phone connects and he says
Josh: I need you in my office
And then he drops the call before looking back at me
Josh: Alright Tamara, but there's one more thing please
Tamara: What is it
There's a knock on the door
Josh: Come in
The door opens and a middle aged woman walks in also in the their usual outfit
Woman: Good morning sir, good morning ma'am
She greets us respectively
Tamara: Good morning ma
Josh: Good morning Lia, I need one copy of this
He hands her the agreement I just signed and she collects it and leaves. Then Mr. Josh turns back to me
Josh: You know my boss right? Mr. Holland
Tamara: (surprised) Mr Holland?
Josh: Yes, Mr Holland is the owner and founder of Jetro. Honestly, I don't know why he chose to approach you himself but I need you to understand that his identity is hidden, nobody knows him as the president of Jetro, he has other identity that you might find out about later but please your knowledge of him as the president of Jetro should be a secret. There are lots of people working in Jetro, they all believe their president is mysterious and some even think I might be the president but only a few trusted subordinates know him and now you have become one of these subordinates. There's nothing mysterious here, he just doesn't want to be in the public eye, I hope you understand.
Tamara: (still surprise) I understand
This is indeed a big revelation, I had never even thought of the fact that that guy could be the owner of Jetro himself. WOW, such a young guy with a big achievement. Though this revelation makes me feel some kind of special, being one of his trusted subordinates? Well he can rest assured, I won't disappoint.
Josh: Ok, it's settled
A knock on the door again and Lia walks in and submit the papers on the table
Lia: Here it is sir
Josh: Thank you
Lia leaves and Mr. Josh gives me one of the papers
Josh: Congratulations miss Tamara Hayes, you are officially one of the Jetros
Tamara: Thank you sir (smiling)
I receive the agreement from him feeling overwhelmed
Josh: You're welcome, see you on Monday
Tamara: Alright
I take my things and leave the office and eventually leave the company. I hail a cab to the bus station and from there I'm home now and it's exactly 10am.
I don't know but I'm a kind of disappointed that I didn't see Mr. Holland, although everything went well and the vice is a good person but I never expect Mr. Holland to be a behind the scene boss which means I might not see him again, at this point I really feel unlucky that he approached me himself, if only he had sent someone at least I won't even know him. I made breakfast for myself after eating. I start to pack up my things for going home, yes I have decided to spend this week at home. While parking my things I heard a knock on my door, wondering who it could be. I went to check, I looked through the peephole and I was surprised. Why would Liam be at my door? I open the door looking at the handsome gentleman standing at my door in casual clothes looking all fresh and smiley.
Tamara: Liam?
I close the door behind me leaning back on it.
Liam: Hi
Tamara: What's up
Liam: I saw you earlier, looks like you were coming from somewhere
Tamara: Oh yeah, I went for an interview
Liam: Interview?
Tamara: Yeah, I might be working part-time henceforth.
Liam: Oh, hope there is no problem, I mean it's definitely gonna be a whole lot of stress
Tamara: You're right but I just feel like doing some exploring and besides it's only going to be on holidays and probably weekends
Liam: (staying quiet for awhile) is it your choice?
Tamara: Yeah, and it's my major area too so I would be learning more.
Liam: I just hope you can cope
Tamara: Of course, by the way, why are you still in school, shouldn't you be home by now?
Liam: I will be leaving soon. What about you?
Tamara: Tomorrow
Liam: Ok, how about we going out for lunch
Tamara: (laughing) today?
Liam: Yeah
Tamara: I had a late breakfast and I'm still full.
Liam: It's ok, we can wait some more time and probably having a late lunch too, what about that
Tamara: Well it's up to you then
Liam: I will call you later for it.
Tamara: Alright
Liam: (looking at my door) I see you don't invite people in
Tamara: (laughing) I'm sorry Liam, I'm arranging my things for traveling and the whole place is a little messy
Liam: (laughing as well) I was just joking, see you later.
And just like that he's leaving while I'm still standing at my door watching him disappear into the stairs. My apartment isn't that messy to receive a visitor, it's just that I haven't received anyone in there before so it didn't come to my mind to let him in and besides I thought he just wants to say something and then leave.
I get back into my apartment and start my work from where I stopped.
So Liam is one of my new friends now, we're in the same department although he's in 3rd level and we used to be just "greet and pass" friends but these days we got closer.
An hour later I'm done with everything and after freshen up I wanted to sleep when I heard my phone ringing, I picked it up and it is an unknown number, pressing the answer button I put it to my ear
Liam: Hello Tamara
Tamara: Hello
Liam: It's Liam
Oh, I forgot I once gave him my phone number
Tamara: Liam what's up
Liam: Are you good to go now? If not you can call this line later
Tamara: I'm actually trying to catch up some sleep but it's ok, we can go and I will sleep later
Liam: Alright, I will be waiting outside your building
Tamara: Ok, I will dress up now
So I thought it's just gonna be eating and getting back but it turns out to be so much fun. I'm really so happy and grateful and he also promised to provide me a place to stay in one of his properties when going to work because it's very far from school. I have been thinking of how to go about this but thank God it has solved itself and I don't even know that Liam is wealthy, I mean I know he's well off but after knowing some things about his family today I realized he is more wealthy than I thought. It's good to have a rich friend lol. I took my bath and was ready to dive into the dream world.
Ding! Ding! An incoming message on my phone, I want to ignore it and sleep but in order not to miss something I decide to check my phone before sleeping. I rolled over and picked it up to check and it was Mr. Holland? The message reads
Mr. Holland: Hi
Mr. Holland: You came to the company today
