I make my way to the receptionist table where a woman is sitting, she's dressed in a dark pink shirt with her hair in a ponytail, the table covers the lower part of her body. She looks up from her desk when she notices me approaching her, when I reached the table I greet her and she replies
Receptionist: Welcome
I wanted to say I have an appointment but I remember I have none so, I decided to tell my story
Tamara: My name is Tamara Hayes, I was offered a job by the CEO and he said I can come for the necessary procedures.
The receptionist shows a look of surprise
Receptionist: Oh, it's you miss, welcome, please have a seat while I call my boss.
She gestured for a seat nearby and I went and sat. I can see her making a call with the telephone so I decide to check my phone. I think I should have informed Mr Holland that I would be visiting the company today, that's a mistake on my part but thank goodness, with the look on the receptionist's face earlier, it seems they were informed about me otherwise I would have made a little fool of myself.
Receptionist: Miss
I heard the receptionist calling out so I looked up at her, She gestures towards an elevator nearby.
Receptionist: Take the elevator to the second floor, a secretary is there to direct you to our boss office.
Tamara: Alright, thank you
I walk towards the elevator and it opens on its own. I get in and it closes. I press the button for the second floor and the elevator starts to move up. Soon it stops and the door opens, I walk out looking around the spacious place. There is a lady sitting at a desk nearby, that's definitely the secretary. She's wearing the same color of shirt as the receptionist, even her hair is also in a ponytail. I think this is their working outfit for the day and I really love that because it means they're here for business and there's no room for a fashion show off which is very ok by me. She waves at me in greeting
Secretary: good morning ma'am, you're welcome
Tamara: Good morning
Secretary: You're Miss Tamara?
Tamara: Yes
Secretary: Ok, please have a seat, our boss will soon be out.
Tamara: Alright
I sit on one of the sofas close by still amazed at the beauty of my surroundings, I just love the uniqueness in their designs. Lost in my thought and admiration I heard a door click and looking towards the sound I see two men emerging from a room that should be an office, both dressed in corporate attire with one of them holding an iPad, they both walk out looking at me, the with an iPad heading for the elevator while the other man walks towards me
Josh: Are you Tamara Hayes
Tamara: Yes
Josh: Oh, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, I didn't know you will be coming today and this early too
Tamara: It's ok
Josh: Alright, follow me to my office
Tamara: Ok
Josh: Sammy also meet me in my office please
Secretary: Ok sir
He walked back to his office and I followed him in. Inside the office everything looks as awesome as what I have seen so far
Josh: Have a seat
Tamara: Thank you
Josh: You're welcome, care for tea?
Tamara: That will be good
I replied, smiling at him. I really like this man and his manners of approach though I don't know why he is the one in the boss position, shouldn't it be the guy I have seen before? We both have our seat with me sitting opposite him across his desk. Soon the secretary named Sammy comes knocking at the door before opening
Josh: get us a cup of warm tea each
Sammy: ok sir
She closes the door as she left us alone in the office
Josh: So Tamara how are you doing
Tamara: I'm doing good thank you
Josh: Alright, my name is Joshua and I'm the vice president of this company. Our president has told me about you for a long time and I thought you won't be showing up anymore.
The vice president and president title is really confusing but I still replied
Tamara: Yes it's been long but school has been ongoing so I couldn't show up
Josh: I see, so you're on holiday now?
Tamara: Yes
Josh: Anything to show me?
Tamara: Oh yes, I'm sorry I forgot I'm supposed to submit it first
I open my bag and bring out the file I have prepared earlier when I found out I'm supposed to submit something for my resume. I place it on the table for him to take
Tamara: Here it is. It's just my high school certificate and a few of my university projects.
He nods, picks up the file and starts going through it, while he's at it Sammy the secretary comes in with two cups of tea placing a cup each before us and I say thank you to her, after that she leaves, I start stirring and drinking my tea while Josh is still busy with my file. after some time he parks them up saying
Josh: Very good Tamara, you're a wonderful student and we will be delighted to have you among us.
Tamara: (smiling) thanks
Josh: so are you ready to start working
Tamara: Yes
Josh: How about resuming next week Monday
Tamara: Ok
Josh: So you will be working in our artificial intelligence department
Tamara: (nodding my head)
He opens his drawer and brings out a paper, passing it to me
