Ana's POV
After Hunter walked out, Madeline turned her attention to me.
"How did you manage to get him to apologize? He acts so full of himself. What happens when he treats customers badly down the line?"
I offered a slight smile.
"Right now, we don't have better choices. His expertise is solid. Besides, when someone's livelihood depends on it, even the most stubborn pride has to bend.
We'll see how it goes."
Madeline went quiet.
The second design would be ready tomorrow.
Madeline asked me to swing by the store, and I said yes.
Later, Julio showed up to drive me home, practically buzzing with excitement as he started dishing gossip.
"You'll never guess what I walked in on when I dropped those papers off at Edwin's office!"
His eyes lit up with pure mischief.
I gave him a questioning look.
"The moment I stepped through his door, there was Amara perched on his lap. His face was practically glowing red!" Julio announced.
I arched an eyebrow, entertained by the drama.
