Morris's POV
Niall, my assistant, didn't give Isobel what she wanted right away.
"We're on company time now. Ms. Hogan, get back to work."
Yolanda had pulled strings to get Isobel into the company.
Niall only caught wind of this today.
He was already sweating bullets for not doing his homework or giving me a heads up first.
If he actually helped Isobel mess with my schedule, I'd probably ship him off to Aethel to work the mines.
Isobel walked away looking defeated.
Niall stepped into my office.
I hadn't kicked off the international meeting yet.
I kept my voice casual. "Yolanda's the one who got her the job?"
Niall gave a quick nod. "Ms. Hogan just took first place in that jewelry contest, so Mrs. Welch made her head designer."
I didn't react.
I slipped on my Bluetooth headset and said coolly, "Stick to company policy. We need that jewelry line launch to go off without a hitch next quarter."
"Copy that," Niall said.
