"I am sorry but can you walk me through what happened today?" Lorraine asked in confusion.
Princess Marina narrated what happened from when she was introduced to Pyralex, to the erection of a building without a foundation to how blessings were used to her failure on creating a human's silhouette with fog!
"He created like twenty of them and I couldn't create one!" Princess Marina wailed.
"Uhm Princess Marina," Lorraine said tentatively.
"Correct me if I am wrong but could the reason why he is so great at using his powers be because he has several years of experience?" Lorraine said as gently and as slowly as she could.
Princess Marina gave her a sharp look at her sarcastic tone but still stamped her feet in anger.
"You wolves are so competitive." Lorraine said with a laugh and Princess Marina whacked her upside the head with a pillow.
The next morning, Princess Marina was dressed in a white dress with flowy arms and green embroidery. Her hair was adorned with white ribbons and her ears and wrist were adorned with emerald earrings and an emerald and gold bracelet. She wore white soft sandals that wouldn't be seen under her long white dress and she was ushered into a carriage that contained her two older sisters.
In the carriage no one made a sound, partly because Princess Zarya didn't wish to talk to Princess Marina, partly because Princess Esmeralda didn't want to talk to one and ignore the other and partly because Princess Marina was nervous about her first appearance before the common folk in Alvonia.
Princess Marina's first public appearance to the common folk in Alvonia was held at Perihelion and all who could make it flocked to the temple and overflowed to its gates.
Excitement buzzed in the air as the common folk of Alvonia waited to get a glimpse of the sun and moon of the empire and the first, second and third star of the empire. Attendees flocked from the five provinces of Alvonia and everyone came in white to honour the Perihelion.
As the first carriage came into view, the commoners began to scream in joy and once the sun and moon of the empire appeared a loud noise erupted at the temple gates.
Noticing that the carriage containing her and her sisters had stopped, Princess Marina watched as the carriage door was pulled open and the first and second star of the empire came out in quick succession. Bracing herself to face the public, Princess Marina tried to hide her nerves and finally after two minutes, Princess Marina, the third star of the empire stepped out of her carriage.
Her striking resemblance to the King, her regal posture and calm outlook elicited cheers from the overwhelming crowd at the gate. Keeping her head high and her soldiers back, Princess Marina walked to the temple with all the grace she could muster. Guards rushed to open the doors to the temple as soon as Princess Marina stopped in front of the doors and as soon as Princess Marina stepped into the temple, Princess Marina was transported back to when she regained her memories of her previous life.
Flashback
"Stop it!" the Queen yelled as she fought to get out of her husband's grip.
"Stop the ritual immediately!" The Queen yelled as Princess Marina continued to scream.
"The ritual can not be stopped once it begins." one of the Priests said in panic as the shield that represents the blessing of the earth, the feather that represents the blessing of the wind, the leaf that represents the blessing of the water and the metal mallet that represents the spirit of fire levitated from their positions.
As Princess Marina screamed the shield dropped like dead weight while the feather, the leaf and the hammer began to vibrate in their positions at Princess Marina's inner turmoil.
"Where is he?!" Princess Marina yelled internally as she held her head in pain.
"He was right beside me and the next he was-" Princess Marina thought before shaking her head like a mad man.
"Gale wouldn't leave me just like that!" Princess Marina thought as she looked at her surroundings with crazed eyes.
"The only way he would leave is if you took him!" Princess Marina yelled internally as she looked at the disgusting statue of the Goddess.
"Yes, you took him." Princess Marina thought internally as she suddenly got up.
"Bring him back!" Princess Marina yelled as she grabbed the metal mallet and threw it at the statue of the Goddess.
Flashback end.
The statue she broke when she was little had been replaced and as she continued her walk to the center of the room next to her parents and sister, Princess Marina watched the lifelike statue of the Goddess from her position. Unlike the statue in the Grand square, the Goddess in the temple was without a weapon and a shield and had nothing except for the crown on her head and a gentle smile on her lips. The statue was radiant and held compassion and Princess Marina could see that everyone in attendance of the Perihelion was enthralled by it.
"To each their own." Princess Marina scoffed internally but just as she finished saying that sentence Princess Marina was told to step in front of the statue and kneel before it.
