Evelin's POV
Just as Dalia's palm was about to make contact with my cheek, I caught her wrist firmly.
Dalia's face twisted with rage. "Grey, look at this! I try to put her in her place with a few words, and this is the thanks I get. How can you stay married to such a woman?!"
I fixed her with a cold stare. "If we split up, he'd have to hand over half his assets. Ready for that?"
"Ridiculous! You're the one who strayed, so you should walk away empty-handed!" Dalia shot back.
The pieces clicked into place for me then. This explained why Dalia had secretly signed that divorce agreement with me earlier, yet now she was making this public spectacle.
So that was her game. She didn't want to fork over even the 30 million we'd agreed on.
Grey's expression turned stormy as he positioned himself between us. "Release my mother. She's your elder, and if she needs to discipline you, that's her right. You have no business treating her this way!"
