Evelin's POV
All eyes turned to Grey in that instant.
Grey pressed his parched lips together. Obviously, he wanted to minimize this whole mess and make it disappear without a trace.
But when his gaze locked with mine again, he started, "Evelin, maybe we should just—"
"Just forget about it? Call it a misunderstanding?" I arched an eyebrow. "Grey, you think I'll go along with that?"
My mocking expression seemed to choke him; whatever else he planned to say died in his throat.
Selina exploded with rage. "Grey, your mother and sister did this to Evelin and you want to brush it off as a misunderstanding? If Evelin couldn't protect herself, do you have any idea what would've happened to her?"
Grey turned crimson from the tongue-lashing. The police showed up shortly after.
Claire shook with terror, sobbing, "I don't want to go to the police station. I don't want to. Grey, help me. I don't want to go to prison."
