Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Seven Deadly Sins—Satan

The New World.

The Moby Dick flew a pirate flag painted with a skull and a crescent mustache, rippling in the wind.

This was the flagship of one of the Four Emperors of the New World, the Whitebeard Pirates, led by the man hailed as the strongest in the world, Whitebeard.

On the lookout tower beneath the flag, a man gazed into the distance.

"Looks like I really can't go back."

Satan slowly closed his eyes, laziness written on his face.

"Hey, hey, hey, Satan, you're getting way too slack, kid!"

"If you're on watch, then keep a proper watch!"

A blond man with pineapple-shaped hair couldn't help patting Satan's shoulder.

He was the First Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates.

Mythical Zoan Phoenix, Marco.

"Ding, congratulations, Sloth acknowledged. Sloth +1."

"Ding, randomly gained Strength +0.1."

The system's voice sounded.

"Marco, don't be so serious."

"You're the Whitebeard Pirates. Would you really be afraid of a sneak attack?"

Satan yawned, unconcerned.

That's right, he was a transmigrator bound to the Seven Deadly Sins system.

Arrogance, envy, wrath, sloth, greed, gluttony, lust gathered into a single system.

As long as his actions matched one of the sins and were recognized by others, he could gain the corresponding points and obtain random attributes.

At the same time, the system could absorb the emotions of others tied to the Seven Sins, strengthen itself, and grant random attributes.

The stronger the emotion, the more sin points and attributes he would obtain.

As the sin levels rose, hidden techniques could even awaken.

He had been in this world for a month.

Satan fully accepted reality. There was no way back now.

The world of pirates was a world where people devoured one another.

So he pretended to have amnesia and stayed aboard Whitebeard's ship.

When he first crossed over he was unconscious, and when the system awakened he shouted his own name, Satan.

Thus the Whitebeard Pirates picked it up and used Satan as his name.

During his time with them, Satan discovered the Whitebeard Pirates were almost overly harmonious.

The Seven Deadly Sins seemed absent from them.

Therefore, Satan could only make himself the embodiment of the Seven Sins.

Sloth was the fastest way to harvest sin-laden emotions.

Besides, the Whitebeard Pirates did not need an amnesiac to worry about anything.

After all, Whitebeard was the strongest man in the world.

Aside from clashes among the Four Emperors and the Marine Headquarters fleet, no one dared provoke them.

The name of Whitebeard among the Four Emperors shook the world.

"The sea hides danger everywhere."

"You cannot grow lax just because you are strong."

Marco lectured solemnly.

"That's only because you are not strong enough."

"A true powerhouse does not fear danger."

Satan dismissed him.

"Kid, you're getting arrogant."

"Don't forget, you're just a weakling, got it?"

Marco pressed a hand on Satan's head.

In his eyes, Satan truly was a weakling.

After all, he was the First Division Commander.

Second only to Whitebeard among the strongest on the crew.

"Ding, Arrogance acknowledged."

"Arrogance +0.1."

"Randomly gained Constitution +0.1."

"Hey, I'm no weakling."

Satan's tone carried a hint of pride.

"Not weak? You can't even take down a single Sea King."

"And as a pirate, are you prepared to be buried at sea at any moment?"

Marco's voice turned stern.

These days he had been observing Satan.

At the start, Satan truly could not even truss a chicken.

But in a month he felt Satan's strength grow stronger and stronger.

This kid was a monster.

He could become stronger even by sleeping.

"In this world, no one can take my life."

"Relax, Marco."

Satan laughed heartily.

Vaguely, Marco felt Satan's figure grow infinitely tall.

"What a real freak."

Marco sighed, then jumped down from the lookout tower.

He felt Satan had grown stronger again.

A monster who grew stronger by talking, by sleeping, even by breathing.

Marco had never met such a person.

Clearly, Satan was a monster.

"A monster, huh?"

"Perhaps. Bearing the Seven Deadly Sins, it's hard not to become one."

Satan chuckled and looked at his status panel.
