Eldritch Lullaby

Eldritch horrors, anomalies, one might say are considered by most, if not all, to be evil. However, I would not say this is true, for out there in the emptiness of the void resides a being. People consider him, or should I say “IT”. Ageless, the beginning of sound, or to be more exact, Endless. Born from the first sound produced when the cosmos was created, and with his creation came a name that traveled across the void: Eranthis Rauk Imu Kôrath, or as he likes to call himself, “Erik.” Countless years pass, and a whispered hum flows through the void. There, but not there at the same time. If you ever manage to hear it, you might notice that this hum is different from a static roll. It is more like the sound of a tune: soft yet captivating, one that entices you to sit down and enjoy the melody. But this is not some cheerful beat one might expect. No, it feels lonely… almost sad to listen to. __________________________ This is a story about an eldritch being, born at the beginning of time from the first sound to ever be produced. Erik, a lonely fellow, has lived countless years alone in the emptiness of the void with nothing but his voice and a guitar he conjured after scouring through planets and civilizations from music “prayers” that flow to him no matter the distance. In his everlasting loneliness, he meets someone people of the modern age will recognize. She introduces herself as an Endless. Her name: Lady Death. Through her, Erik decides to venture out of his lonely life and try something new. This is where the adventure truly begins, as his music will finally be heard by countless others for the first time. I am writing this as my first novel. Understand that I am not good at writing at all. Hell, even this introduction took me an hour to come up with, and I still think it needs work. I just decided that since I have read almost every good and upcoming fan fiction on this site, I might as well try my own. Who knows? It might be a banger. This work is inspired by the fanfic Re:Life with Karmic Gacha (Modern Family). This is only inspired by that fanfic; I do not plan to use any of its ideas or plots. I just really liked it and wanted to put my own twist on things. The only thing I might be using is the format for writing song scenes. The world Erik will go to is a mashed-up world of different anime, TV shows, and movies, with some real-world characters as well. There will be a harem; however, I might keep it to two or three girls, depending on what you readers want. If you really want a couple more, I can add them, but no more than five. Like I said, I’m not great at writing, but I want to challenge myself, so why not? I’ll try my best to make sure no girl in the harem is forgotten, like in so many other novels. Chatgpt is used for spelling and grammar mistakes. Even when I used it for this intro I took out punctuation I did not like such as this ( — ) whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. If you guys see any mistake let me know in the comments for that chapter. __________________________ ALL CHARACTERS, TV SHOWS, MOVIES, ANIME, OR ANY OTHER PROPERTIES BELONG TO THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS. I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR ANY OF THEM. The only things I own are the main character, Erik, and any OC characters that appear. Hope you have a good read.

Survival, Dragons, and Other Poor Life Choices

The Second Chance He Didn't Ask For Knox Ashford died on Earth, hit by a truck while carrying a coffee he didn't even want. After spending over a year as a walking ghost following his girlfriend's fatal overdose, it was almost a relief. Waking up in Shadowfen? That was the complicated part. Reborn as a lesser demon in a murder-swamp where everything wants to kill him, Knox gets a System, a 12% survival probability, and absolutely no instruction manual. Armed with gallows humor, half-remembered survival shows, and spite, he starts learning the hard way: which water won't poison you, which monsters you can outrun, and how to sleep in a tree hollow without being eaten. Then he finds the egg. A dying Shadow Dragon hatchling, abandoned and alone, her loneliness mirrors his own so perfectly it hurts. Knox saves her by pouring everything he has into their bond, and suddenly he's not just surviving for himself anymore. He's a parent to a tiny, fierce dragon who tries to eat his boots and trusts him absolutely. With help from judgmental fairies, a living swamp that might be a goddess, and a dragon who thinks everything is either food or a toy, Knox begins building something he thought he'd lost: a home. A family. A reason to keep going. But Shadowfen has noticed him. And when an ancient dungeon calls, promising power he desperately needs, Knox must choose: stay safe in the home he's built, or risk everything for the strength to protect it. Five weeks in hell. A complete transformation. And the discovery that broken things can be reforged into something stronger. What started as survival becomes legend. A LitRPG progression fantasy about grief, found family, and a man learning that the opposite of depression isn't happiness, it's purpose. Featuring: a demon who can't say no to feature requests, a dragon with attachment issues, fairies who weaponize interior design criticism, and enough emotional damage to fuel an entire power system. Perfect for fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl, Beware of Chicken, and Primal Hunter, if they had more therapy and beard-based comedy. ┬┴┬┴┤ ͜ʖ ͡°) ├┬┴┬┴ Will post daily! Powerstones and comments welcome... I’m watching you, and I’ll adjust accordingly. ┬┴┬┴┤ω・)
