Chapter 4 - A gentleman's revenge is never too late, even after twenty years.

Chen Xun has also learned a fair share of various wilderness survival skills. Although he is not an expert, he knows them all.

Moo~~

The big black ox looked anxiously toward the farmland, which it had painstakingly plowed with great effort.

"It's alright, we'll find another piece of fertile land later, several times bigger than this one!"

"Moo! Moo!"

Big Black Bull nodded frantically, and Chen Xun began to paint a rosy picture, leaving Big Black Bull completely bewildered.

"However, we still have a great grudge to settle, which is not the act of a gentleman."

Chen Xun stood up abruptly, twirling his axe a few times. "Those people must be old and frail by now. Old Niu, let's strike while they're down and get our rice back!"

Moo!

The ground shook, sending pebbles flying. The big black bull was enraged. Its horns had only grown a little, and it was unknown when they would fully recover. Even the village heifers barely paid any attention to it.

Inside the cave, they packed up, carrying the suona and other essential items for traveling the world, all on the black ox's back.

With their current strength, they can pick up pots and pans as if it were child's play. What they really can't take with them, they leave to Xiao Heizi and his family, including that piece of fertile land.

The next day, outside the homes of Xiao Heizi, the blacksmith, the carpenter, and others in the village who had helped Chen Xun, there was a lot of rice outside their doors. They were all overjoyed and exclaimed that Heaven had eyes.

Xiao Heizi's wife was still counting the things, her mouth already beaming with joy. What a wonderful thing!

Inside the room, Xiao Heizi, now middle-aged and more mature, picked up a letter. He had been taught to read by Chen Xun, so he could understand it.

"Little Blackie, the fertile field outside the cave is now in your family's care. You must take good care of Big Blackie."

"This is my departure, and I may never see you again in this lifetime. The world is wonderful and magnificent, and you should always go out and see it. Remember to always be optimistic. You are always so dashing, Xun Ge'er."

Xiao Heizi read it word by word, his eyes slightly moist. He had followed Xun Ge'er around since he was a child, and had long regarded him as his older brother.

Memories flooded his mind: the stolen rice, the burned-down thatched hut, being chased out of the village when working, and so on. Though life was bleak, Xun Ge always seemed to have a passion for life.

"Brother Xun, have a safe journey."

Xiao Heizi smiled warmly as he looked out the window. The sky was clear and blue today, a perfect day to set off.

Three months later, in a pit outside the neighboring village.

The man and the ox were weathered and covered in dust. Chen Xun held a large flatbread in his hand, took a big bite, and then handed it to the ox to take a bite.

"As expected, we've figured out the neighboring village. Let's start with Old Wang's family."

Chen Xun's eyes were sharp. He had no shortage of patience and time. He investigated the Wang family's ancestral graves, their land, and all the people who had been beaten by the Wang family.

"Old Niu, make your move!"

Chen Xun covered his head with a bandit's hood, leaving only his eyes, nose, and mouth exposed, and also prepared a set of clothes for Big Black Bull.

On a dark and windy night, a man and an ox stood on a hillside, unmoved by the strong wind, displaying the demeanor of a ruthless bandit.

They walked up the mountain, where moonlight shone down and a cold wind swirled. The graveyards were eerily quiet, but compared to the grievances they had suffered, this was nothing.

"The Tomb of Wang Defa"

A glint flashed in Chen Xun's eyes—that was it! He growled, "Old ox, dig!"

Moo!

The big black ox was excited and roared. It pried wildly with all four hooves. Chen Xun kicked the tombstone and shattered it. He shouted with satisfaction. Countless yellow soil was dug out and the coffin appeared.

They flipped it over, revealing a skeleton, and the man and the cow ran away instantly, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

In Wangjiatian's field, the big black ox was frantically plowing the land, mud flying everywhere, constantly venting its anger. Chen Xun's eyelids twitched as he watched; this old ox was even more vengeful than he was.

The entire field was a mess, completely ruined. Chen Xun and Da Hei Niu looked at their masterpiece with satisfaction, feeling quite pleased with themselves.

The next day, Chen Xun led the black ox into Old Wang's house.

"Who goes there!"

An elderly man, over fifty years old, leaning on a cane, exclaimed in surprise that the person was wearing a headscarf, which was quite frightening.

"I am your long-lost father!"

Chen Xun roared and immediately recognized the man as Wang Tianming, the one who had hit him the hardest back then. Chen Xun kicked out and broke Wang Tianming's cane in an instant.

He took a step forward, controlled his strength, and slapped him across the face, knocking out the few remaining teeth.

"Hero, spare my life! Hero!"

Wang Tianming coughed up a mouthful of blood; he had been attacked by bandits.

"More than twenty years ago, you led people to steal our rice. Today, we've come to settle our score!"

"ah?!"

Wang Tianming was shocked. Twenty years ago, he had almost forgotten about this incident. Looking at the black bull outside the door, he suddenly remembered something.

Moo!

A big yellow dog was passing by the Wang family's house when the black ox charged at it! The big yellow dog was knocked flying, crashed to the ground with a pitiful howl, and quickly ran away.

Chen Xun wouldn't let the Wang family off the hook. He shook all the egg yolks in their house and cut the earthworms on the ground into eight pieces with a machete.

Wang Tianming sat on the ground, crying and screaming in agony, and immediately called for help.

"Father! Where did this villain come from!"

"How dare you come to the Wang family to commit violence!"

...

At that moment, shouts and yells came from outside, and a large number of young men rushed in, carrying pickaxes and kitchen knives.

"Old Niu, let's retreat!"

Chen Xun shouted, and the man and the ox jumped over the wall and left, with Chen Xun even giving the ox a push on its rump.

"Don't run, you little thief!"

"Stop and fight me one-on-one if you dare!"

"Don't let us catch you, you cowardly coward, you're utterly despicable!"

...

Many villagers were alarmed, and hundreds of people chased after them, raising clouds of dust, all armed with weapons.

"Haha, sigh, I can't catch up."

Chen Xun turned around and laughed loudly, leading Black Bull in a frantic escape. Looking at the dust cloud behind them, he sneered, "That's it?!"

roar!

roar!

"This is outrageous!" Countless men roared, quickening their pace in a frenzied pursuit, but no matter what they did, they couldn't catch up and could only watch helplessly as the pursuers got further and further away.

The most outrageous thing is that even a black bull can run faster than them!

Moo! Moo!

A deafening fart erupted from the black ox, as if it had been accumulating for days. The stench was overwhelming, and a suffocating feeling washed over Chen Xun, whose face looked as if he had eaten excrement.

"Ugh! It stinks!"

"Damn it!!"

vomit!

The villagers chasing him went limp, braced themselves on the ground, and kept retching, their eyes filled with disbelief that such a foul-smelling fart could exist in the world.

Wang Tianming rushed up from behind, furious. If he were twenty years younger, he would have torn this man to pieces!

"Old Wang, your family's ancestral grave has been dug up! The coffin lid has been ripped off!"

"ah?!"

"Old Wang, hurry back and check your fields! They look like they've been eaten by pigs!"

"ah?!"

Upon hearing the voice behind him, Wang Tianming felt dizzy and fainted.

The man and the ox had already gone far away and could no longer be seen, leaving behind a legend of a notorious bandit in the village.
