Chapter 10 - Everyone heard that, this person is unreasonable

Today is the end of another year, and Panning City is still bustling with activity at night, just like when they first arrived here.

With curiosity in his eyes, Chen Xun led the big black ox slowly down the street, stopping to look around. He carried various kinds of food in his hands; now that they had money, they naturally wanted to spend it.

They took turns taking turns, one bite for you, which made everyone around them laugh and say that this young man was quite interesting.

However, there was an unexpected problem this time. Chen Xun couldn't pull the big black ox no matter what he did while watching the acrobatics. They only continued on their way after the ox had finished watching.

The big black ox always believed that the cultivators were putting on a show for them, and he watched with great fascination, constantly mooing.

"Boss, do you remember us?"

Chen Xun walked up to a vendor's stall and smiled slightly, "We've come to buy wood carvings."

The difference is that a child is sitting next to the owner, playing with a wooden carving. The vendor has also moved to a different location, but it's not far from the original spot.

"Hey, buddy, it's you."

The vendor was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized that the boy who had traded rice for his wood carvings "had really not changed at all."

"Do you have any wooden cow carvings? We'd like to buy two."

"Alright!"

The vendor smiled, searched around, and found two lifelike wooden ox carvings, without any flaws. He handed them to Chen Xun, saying, "Here you go, buddy."

After paying, Chen Xun waved the wooden carving in front of the big black ox, which made the ox very anxious, and Chen Xun laughed heartily.

They released another wishing lantern by the river, but the big black ox wouldn't let Chen Xun see its wish no matter what, blocking Chen Xun's view with its whole body.

Chen Xun led the big black ox towards the southern part of Panning, where there were many medical clinics. The blacksmith shop was in the northern part of the city, but it was too far away and would take several days to walk there.

Two days later, they arrived at a shop with a sign that read "Pingtai Medical Clinic" and couplets on both sides.

First line: May all people in the world be well; Second line: Why worry about the medicine gathering dust on the shelves? Horizontal inscription: Peace throughout the world.

People come and go at the clinic, all with worried faces. The doctors at Pingtai Clinic have an excellent reputation here and are known by the local people as "the healers who save lives".

The staff inside were extremely busy, constantly dispensing medicine to those coming and going, and several doctors were saving lives, with painful cries frequently heard from within.

"Old Niu, I'm going in to check the situation. I'll leave you outside. You're all grown up now; you need to learn to protect yourself."

Chen Xun said seriously, "If a stranger tries to take you away, yell and kick him, but don't kick too hard."

"Moo!"

The big black ox nodded, giving him a reassuring look, assuring him that he knew what he was doing.

"Do you want to see a doctor or get medicine?" a shop assistant casually asked.

"I'm looking for Ning Si, Dr. Ning."

Chen Xun cupped his hands and said that he had inquired and found that Ning Si was the owner of this place. She was kind-hearted, a doctor with a benevolent heart, and was widely praised by the people.

"Young man, you were looking for me?"

Ning Si walked out from another hall. His long, thick black hair was tied up on his head, he had a mustache, and his eyes were filled with melancholy. He was middle-aged.

However, Chen Xun believes that this person is very good at maintaining his health and may actually be older than he looks.

"Dr. Ning, I'm here to study medicine."

Chen Xun cupped his hands in greeting, and his sleeve slipped down unintentionally, revealing his muscular physique. Ning Si's eyelids twitched at the sight; what a robust body!

"Hehe, I'm not taking on any more apprentices for now. Young man, you should check out other places."

Ning Siping said that he has no intention of taking on any apprentices for the time being.

"Dr. Ning, I am here to learn medicine with all my heart, and I am very hardworking."

With hope in his eyes, Chen Xun pleaded, "I'll do odd jobs here, as long as I can learn something."

"Why."

A struggle flashed in Ning Si's eyes. Suddenly, a loud mooing sound came from outside, startling everyone. A gust of wind blew by, and Chen Xun rushed out.

"Such agile skills!" Ning Si exclaimed with admiration, and hurriedly went out to see what had happened.

"Sigh, my black ox is so stubborn, I can't pull it away no matter what I do."

A local thug chuckled and explained to the onlookers, his face grim, as he experienced for the first time what it meant to be as strong as an ox.

Moo! Moo!

The big black ox bellowed angrily, about to lift its foot, when it saw Chen Xun come out, and it quickly shouted.

"What are you doing?! This is my cow!"

Chen Xun's eyes widened, and he shouted angrily, "Let go!"

"Just because you say it's yours, does that mean it's yours?"

The thug sneered, looking Chen Xun up and down. He was just an inexperienced young man.

So you mean you don't want to reason with me?

"Ha, ridiculous. This is my family's big black bull. You want to lay a hand on me?"

The thug spat, put down the rope, slowly rolled up his sleeves, and even took out a dagger and brandished it.

He's been a fixture on this street for years; dealing with a young punk like him is a piece of cake for him.

"Everyone heard that, this person is unreasonable."

Chen Xun frowned slightly and shouted to the surrounding people, inadvertently revealing the three mountain-splitting axes at his waist.

The thug stopped in his tracks, his pupils contracted, and he exclaimed, "Hey, what's going on?"

Chen Xun took a step and slowly unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his sixteen-pack abs. His body looked incredibly strong, as if it had been through countless trials.

The surrounding crowd gasped in astonishment. The boy looked ordinary, but it turned out he was a martial arts expert.

"Wait! Young man, I suddenly realized I'm mistaken. This isn't my cow, ha... ha."

The thug's pupils trembled. This young man was too fierce. He slowly shrank back. He had run into a brick wall. "I'll go first, I'll go first."

"Go to hell, you're asking for it!"

Chen Xun suddenly roared and charged out angrily. He was so fast that he left only a blur in his wake. His fist, as big as a sandbag, was reflected in the thug's eye socket.

"Ah!! Grandpa, stop hitting me!!"

The screams of thugs echoed through the street as they rolled on the ground, begging for mercy. Big Black Bull spat at them, and finally, the thug was tossed away by the bull.

The thug looked utterly hopeless, his body felt like it was falling apart, his mouth and nose were covered in blood, and he reeked of the foul stench of saliva.

This boy had a sixteen-pack and an iron-clad body. Even if he called a few of his brothers, it wouldn't make a difference. They could only take the beating for nothing. From now on, he should avoid this guy.

"well played!"

"This thug deserves to be beaten!"

"He is ignorant and idle all day long; I've disliked him for a long time."

...

The surrounding crowd cheered, praising the young hero for doing what they dared not do.

Chen Xun snorted coldly. If they dared to touch Old Niu, he would unleash a massacre if they dared to retaliate.

Moo! Moo! The big black ox nudged Chen Xun, feeling at ease only with him by its side.

"It's alright, Lao Niu, I'm here."

Chen Xun held the big black bull's head in one arm, his cold gaze still fixed on the direction the thugs had fled.

He suddenly looked at Ning Si, making her feel uneasy. This young man carried three machetes and had sixteen-pack abs. Was he really here to learn medicine...?

"Please accept me, Dr. Ning. You can let me work as a handyman at Pingtai Medical Clinic. My family's heirloom, the big black ox, can also help out."

Chen Xun bowed his head and clasped his hands, his words filled with deep sincerity.

Moo! Moo! The big black ox also made a request to Ning Si.

"Dr. Ning, please accept him. Such a righteous young man is a rare find."

"Yes, Dr. Ning, this young man is pitiful. He brought his family's cow to the city to make a living."

...

The surrounding people also spoke up for Chen Xun, who clearly had a tragic past.

"Alright, I'll accept you."

Ning Si nodded in agreement. The boy did seem pitiful. If he were left to wander outside, he would be retaliated against by those thugs. At least no one in the clinic dared to touch him.

"Thank you, Doctor Xie Ning." Chen Xun was overjoyed and bowed to the surrounding people to express his gratitude for their help.

Let's go.

Ning Si smiled, put her hands behind her back, and led them into the backyard of the clinic.
