Sallie's POV
I was already lost in a fog of confusion, and when the slap connected, I stumbled sideways, my head nearly crashing into the wall.
Webster darted forward, catching me before I could fall, then stared up at Kevin with shock written across his face. "Kevin, have you lost your mind? Can't you see she's injured too?"
His words hit the furious Noahs like ice water. They finally noticed the blood trickling down my head, and their expressions shifted to stunned silence.
Jill broke free from Zora's arms, shooting Webster a look that could kill. She quickly jumped in, "Sallie got hurt by the cameras. But I saw grandpa bleeding so much—all over the carpet and Sallie's clothes. I was terrified."
The realization snapped the Noahs back to attention. Of course I'd gotten hurt battling those paparazzi.
Most of the blood on me had to be Levi's anyway. In a heartbeat, their eyes found me again, filled with fresh revulsion.
