Sallie's POV
"Jill, you're being too nice to her," Salome snapped back to reality. "Someone like her only gets it after being taught a hard lesson. Why waste time with warnings?"
Her glare burned through me with pure hatred.
For a moment, she looked like she was reliving our past—those years when I'd always gotten the better of her. I could see how much she despised that memory.
The moment Salome finished speaking, her little gang rushed to support her.
"Absolutely. She never gets it until she gets hurt."
"The nerve of her causing drama at an event like this! Does she still think she's the precious Noah heiress?"
"She's always been Salome's enemy. She's probably even more bitter now, which explains why she crashed this benefit dinner."
"So what if she did? Salome's way above her level now. Word is the Sterling heir's had a thing for Salome all along. Giving the benefit dinner to the Fay family was probably his idea."
